Charming Homestay

This is a unique homestay type experience. Guy is a wonderful host generously sharing his art filled home and stunning garden. Breakfast was an occasion in the yellow dining room. We also enjoyed picnic dinners in the blooming garden listening to the frogs and bird song. You could pretend you were staying with Monet! Other highlights included feeding the goats and watching the chickens annoy the hissing goose. We recommend hiring Guy's bikes to cycle through the lovely old village and into Vernon and Giverny. There is a cycle path that follows the River Seine. You cross the railway line at the roundabout...some other cyclists showed us the way as it wasn't clear. Vernon has an excellent Saturday morning market worth visiting. We stayed in the spacious family rooms in the attic. The separate bathroom and toilet are down a flight of stairs. These are shared with another room.

It's was so homely and welcoming, our host was very friendly and attentive and the dogs were so cute and friendly, we loved strolling around the garden and watching the goats, chickens, ducks and geese It was easy to find and in a perfect location very closely with to Vernon and Monet's house and gardens We will definitely stay again The breakfast was delicious all very fresh and eggs cooked to perfection Being British it was lovely to find we had a kettle for tea which is most important, The whole house is eclectic and fun and I would highly recommend this house to anyone wishing to stay near Giverny without all the tourist hassle and expense, as for price we were very satisfied with what we paid at high season, Bon chance with the rest of the season and see you next year

Wonderful host and gardens.

Guy was so welcoming and when we had a little accident with our toddler he was really kind, understanding and helpful. The gardens are a beautiful place to explore, it felt like we’d stepped into a hidden world. A bonus to find the goats and geese at the back! Guy took great care in giving us breakfast too. Thank you for a wonderful but too short a visit, we felt very well looked after.

Tranquil, pretty location very relaxing

The accommodation is set in a beautiful little village. Once you step behind the main gate the accommodation and beautiful grounds reminded us of Monet's Garden which we had just visited!! it was very tranquil and so relaxing

Lovely stay in a beautiful garden

Beautiful garden with a wonderfully friendly host. A nice simple breakfast was on offer and we had a lovely stay! The host even kindly offered to drive us to town and then picked up when we couldn't find a taxi to come back!

Guy was very helpful and understanding after a huge delay in travel and even helped us organise. Taking up his recommendation to take their bikes alongside the Seine was marvellous. Thank you!

This is one of the more unusual places you could ever stay! The garden is large and sprawling and there is a lot of history there. Stay here if you want a good story of an unusual trip!

Everything! The people, the room, the place. We will visit again in the future and very much look forward to it. If modern is what you are looking for this is not the place for you but if you are looking for traditional French country living with unique accessories and an incredible view I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A lovely family run establishment with a super cute dog.
