“Two week break in the sun.”

Anthea and Nick couldn’t do enough for us. From picking us up and dropping off at the Airport, to taking us grocery shopping on Day 1. Organising a hire car for us at excellent rates. Making a fruit punch with fruits from her garden and making a local dish of Ackee. The Pool House was comfortable and well equipped. The pool was a real bonus. One real bonus was an excellent washing machine, we took far too many clothes. The aircon in the bedroom was excellent and made sleeping much easier. The surrounding gardens were lush and colourful. Lastly, the three friendly dogs improved the stay.

The Pool House was the perfect location for our honeymoon, Anthea and Nick were wonderful hosts and the location was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting the wonderful country of Barbados.

Lovely house in a pretty setting close to a gorgeous beach. There was an issue with the pool which was communicated to us ahead of arrival so no nasty surprises. Anthea fed us, showed us where the shops were and was the perfect host helping us to feel very much at home.

Anthea & Nick are wonderful hosts, very attentive and always happy to help. Great chats too. We were also introduced to lots of great Bajan and Jamaican cuisine. The space itself - both inside and out - was well equipped throughout. We enjoyed a bbq one night under the stars. Lots of nice beaches in the area too!

The Pool House is a lovely accommodation that has everything you need to feel at home during your stay. From here, you can easily get around the island by car or bus. Nick and Anthea are great hosts and were always there to help with anything I needed.

Our recent six-night stay at The Pool House in Barbados was so enjoyable, a 10 out of 10. From the arrival at the airport, hosts Anthea and Nick made us feel welcome. The Pool House offers excellent value for money. The property is charming and comfortable; it's not a luxury hotel type experience, but I don't make that observation in a derogatory way. Rather, it's authentic, lovely and homely. One of the highlights was the delightful company of Anthea and Nick's three well-behaved small dogs. If you're willing, they make occasional visits, hoping for a petting (we were v willing). Nestled within a friendly neighbourhood, we were greeted everywhere we went. FYI that when drivers honk in their cars, expect that it's because they're saying hi in the quieter areas, or thanks for letting them pass. Being avid walkers and runners, we appreciated the location immensely. While a car is understandably recommended for most visitors, we never ran out of places to explore on foot during our stay. We felt more safe here than anywhere. For dining, we became fans of walking to Cutters during the daytime and Marco Polo for the evening. Both offered delightful culinary experiences within a comfortable walking distance. Foul Bay, a short stroll away, is a lovely beach where we enjoyed reading books while glancing at the crashing waves. For longer journeys, while buses can be unreliable regarding timings, we enjoyed the experience, including chatting with locals at the bus stop during our wait. Taxis are really easy to get; our tip is to use the Pickup Barbados app, which is very Uber-esque, allowing you to see in advance the price for different vehicle types and pay by card (but carry cash too, just in case). Anthea and Nick's kindness and hospitality truly made our stay special. We count ourselves very lucky to have stayed at The Pool House and look forward to the possibility of returning in the future.

Overall the stay was perfect! The veranda is beautiful, great place to have a nice lunch during the day or a few drinks & BBQ in the evening. The pool is amazing and location is quiet, and very safe, we felt completely safe in the local area. The hosts are absolutely amazing and made our holiday really special. They couldn't do enough for us and they are lovely people. Highly recommended 10/10

“Amazing Barbados home”

The pool house is amazing. From the moment we arrived Anthea and Nick were just wonderful. Telling us places to go, making suggestions about beaches and just being wonderful company, the pool house feels so private but it was lovely to know that people were next door if we had any queries. The pool house is in such a lovely area, walkable to the stunning foul beach and crane beach . Everything was just wonderful I would rather it higher if I could.

Our hosts Anthea and Nick were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Anthea is a very caring, kind and generous person. She picked us up from the airport and organised a rental car at a very good price for us when we wanted it. Throughout our stay she went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. She was well equipped to offer her guests a cool box, foldable beach loungers, beach mats, beach towels... That really made our Beach time enjoyable and comfortable. Her garden was beautiful with abundant flowers and fruit. She offered us fresh fruits from her garden and even made us a pomegranate juice. She is well knowledgeable of the local area and was able to guide us with our dietary restrictions. When she heard my husband was interested to try the local fish cakes but was not able to, due to his allergy to Gluten, she made some at home with Gluten Free ingredients. She was very considerate and flexible with our check out time.

Anthea and Nick are wonderful hosts and they tried in every way to make our stay special! they came and pick us up at the airport. The house is immersed in a lush garden and is very well equipped, WiFi was not working at the beginning and Nick and Anthea immediately solved the issue. We will be back!

Anthea & Nick could not have been more caring, thoughtful or helpful hosts. We felt so looked after. The garden was absolutely stunning, as was the sheltered veranda surrounding the apartment - so many places to choose from to sit and read/relax etc!

The hosts are fantastic, the property is stunning and the location just perfect! From the moment we booked to the moment we left, our stay at The Pool House and our experience with Anthea and Nick could not be described as anything less than exquisite. We were collected from the Airport and arrived at the property which was larger than we thought it would be, very clean and tidy with lovely welcome touches and UK sockets. The outside areas were beautiful and the private pool is amazing. Within walking distance you'll find a fun bar that does food and an incredible beach that we only ever saw three other people on! Anthea and Nick were happy to run us to the supermarket and helped us hire a very reasonably priced car. They were informative and so friendly, The Pool House really was an incredible find. If you're considering a trip to beautiful Barbados then look no further as this is the place to stay and we cannot wait to return!
