Everything was immaculate. We were looked after like king & Queen by beautiful Sharon and wonderful Hadrian who organised our restaurants for lunch & dinner including a special lunch on the beach for Christmas.. The breakfast was so cheerful with other guests including the owner who happened to be staying as well.. We loved Ken & his family , the pool , the view , the monkeys & the Hummingbirds who also loved their gardens ..

This is a special place with excellent staff. Slightly secluded it offers a tranquil stay in comfortable and historic surroundings with the added benefits of a pool and a view to die for. Monkeys, humming birds, tree frogs and geckos are in abundance. The communal breakfast on the patio allows the small number of guests to exchange daily plans and experiences, other meals are available on request. This is ideal for the couple seeking peace and quiet away from bustle of other nearby tourist spots. All rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. The wi-fi coverage is excellent and keeps you just connected with the world outside this haven. The world within is a welcome break from every day life. Transport is required, either a taxi or a rental car, and this allowed you to explore all over the island which is easily accessible by road. The overall feeling at Colleton Great House is of being a welcome guest at a family home.

The setting and set up provided the quiet and tranquility needed. The staff were supportive and enabled bookings and taxis needed so there was little for me to actually do for anything.

This property is great if you want a classic luxury experience at a reasonable price. The location is quiet, has beautiful views and the hosts are very hospitable. Sharon and Hadrian helped us with bookings and recommendations whenever we needed.

Peace, tranquility and grandeur greet you at the gates of Colleton Great House. The warm welcome from the staff and, the charm of the surroundings immediately confirmed that we had made the right choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Historic Room. Everything is immaculately kept. Sharon, Hadran and their team were attentive and always willing to assist. The grounds are impressive and there are many places close by to visit, including Heywoods Beach. Having a car is useful.

The position of the property was a tranquil oasis of calm. The staff were polite and gave us their full attention throughout our stay. We witnessed wildlife on a regular basis; hummingbirds, grackles, mongooses and green monkeys.

Stayed in Historic room 1 on the ground floor that was beautiful with a super comfortable 4 poster bed, so high that there was a step to use to get into/ out of it. Very large room with high ceiling, wooden floor and lots of windows and fab views. Original furnishings make it extra special. Bathroom had a bath with an overhead shower. Breakfast is normally served at 0900 for everyone on a large terrace overlooking the sea so it’s great for meeting the other guests but as we wanted early starts and we had a separate part of the patio overlooking the pool, we could have a wonderful breakfast brought out to us earlier by Noreen who was fantastic. As it’s Barbados everything happens at a chilled pace and you might not get what you ordered but breakfast was still delicious ( especially the pepper jelly that looks like marmalade but has hot chilli shreds in it that pack a real punch. No other meals available but very good restaurants nearby- short distance away but road is dangerous to walk along especially at night. Really need a car to enjoy this part of the island fully and it’s a beautiful area to explore, it was perfect for us staying here as we wanted to tour the northern part of Barbados - many don’t even come up this far yet it’s so different to the crowded west coast tourist hotspots where the majority of tourists base themselves. Hadrian and Sharon were brilliant managers sorting out any problems and arranging table bookings.

A truly magnificent hotel, though it felt more like a home welcoming guests then the usual hotel. A beautiful historic house in a wonderful location with magnificent views a beautiful swimming pool and an art filled house. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in and we can’t recommend it enough. What was particularly excellent was how the managers, Sharon and hAdrian made us feel welcome and organised just everything for us. Nothing was too difficult and they were able to get us reservations at top heating spots. Do stay here. But please don’t do that when we are next going there

This was one of the best places we have been to in 10 years. This great house is a mansion with a lot of charme, a library, many old antique rooms for leisure, it is beautiful set between trees and a wonderful view on the ocean. Very cozy with a friendly team of housekeepers. Thanks for your support and the tasty breakfast. That was not the last time we visited this place.
