“Truly – a little piece of heaven.”

We hired a car from Nice Airport and parked it in the property's garage. The roads up in the hills are very narrow at times, so hire a tiny car. Next time I won't bother at all. A short train from Nice Airport (Grande Arenas on the tram then a short walk to Nice St Augustine station) to Cagne-sur-Mer, transfer to the 655 bus right outside the door of the station to St Paul de Vence. It's a 20 minute ride through wonderful scenery and a EUR 3:00 single ticket. If you travel light like us, this is a unencumbered option. First week in June was our stay. Blossom was all around and the air was heady with the smell of Jasmine. Swifts wheeled above us and the view is something to behold not describe. Sorry, you have to be there. You have a whole garden for yourself. Table chairs, sun loungers and parasols. Walk past small trees full of oranges and up some steps to the blessing of a discreet pool. Yes the apartment is split, but it really isn't an issue as others might say in their reviews. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom, which is the important thing. Bed is wide and comfortable and the view from it through the windows is the stuff of the impressionists. Wifi is spotty but honestly... put your phone down and just be! This is the place that asks you to do that. Saint Paul is a short walk and we did it a couple of times a day. Of the ancient cliff-top towns St Paul is the best. Art, food, wine and wandering through flowers in the sun. Time here recalibrates and you feel it. A world before the internet. Self catering: there is not really anywhere in the village to buy groceries. E. Leclerc is a hypermarket in Colle-sur-Loup that is to die for. Simple local tomatoes for a salad, matched with EUR 3:00 Rosé, cheese and bread and patisserie that could only be France, and cheap! You can even get there by bus. So sad to leave the place but will return, because it truly is a little piece of heaven.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property in Provence, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The location is absolutely unbeatable—just a 6-minute walk into the charming town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, making it easy to explore local art galleries, shops, and cafes whenever we wanted. What truly set this property apart, though, was the garden terrace with its stunning panoramic views overlooking the town. It felt like we were in our own little world, far removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The peacefulness of the space really slowed us down, which was exactly what we needed coming from a place where we’re always on the go. The private pool was an added bonus—situated on a higher level of the property, it was incredibly quiet and provided the perfect spot for relaxing under the sun or watching the sunset. It felt like our own personal oasis. Lastly, I can’t forget to mention the owners, who were so kind and accommodating. They really made us feel at home, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We absolutely fell in love with this property and would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic, peaceful retreat in Provence!

Location was fabulous, with picture-perfect views of St Pauls de Vence which is a wonderful rustic village crammed full of artists of all genres. The tourist centre in the village gave us the local bus timetable, and between that and Google Maps were able to get to and from Nice / the airport using public transport for less than 15 Euros each. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and a great place to rest in. The little kitchen and inside dining area were sufficient for our needs, and the pool was a good size and not overlooked.

Very neat rustic old house. Wonderful outdoor areas with amazing views. Short walk the the center of St Paul De Vence. Great views from the bedroom upstairs, which you have to go outside to get to. Lovely hosts and for back to me right away with any questions. Had everything we needed.

La Petite Maison is on a hillside above St Paul with a fine view of the village, the valleys and the sea in the distance. There is a large garage that keeps a hire car very secure, and the door is easy to operate. St Paul is a short walk downhill, about 10 minutes. It takes longer coming back, but it was good exercise. The gardens are large and beautiful with plants and flowers. The garden furniture is great for sitting out there and dining or just lounging. The rooms are comfortable, and the kitchen adequately equipped.

Peaceful and private with stunning views over St Paul de Vence. We were given private use of the pool which was beautiful and quiet. The garden and the terrace were beautiful- the perfect place to sit in the evening with a glass of wine. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped and we didn't need for anything during our stay.
