Everything. Great decor,design,comfort. Martin and Rod were fantastic hosts. Definitely the best rental we have had in France. Many properties promise much on paper but the reality disappoints; La Porcherie is the opposite: the reality exceeds expectations.

The personal welcome from Martin and Rod. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated to a high standard. The garden is shaded and has a comfortable sitting area. The village is a mile away and has a baker, 2 bars and a small supermarket. The hosts have their own website with useful local knowledge.

The hosts, Martin and Rod were very friendly and most welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing, which it was. The attention to detail on the accommodation was excellent, from the renovations through to decoration and furnishings. I need to state for the record that the bed was the MOST comfortable bed we have ever slept in away from home, ensuring a lovely nights sleep each night. Likewise the sofas and other furniture were of the quality and comfort that you would have in your own home. Additionally, the hosts, aware of our late arrival had left essentials such as milk and butter, but also a handmade loaf of sourdough bread, a bottle of local rose, eggs from their chickens and a jar (I salivate as I write this) homemade Biscotti, which we were very grateful for and were delicious - thank you. The kitchen was superbly equipped with consumables, such as cooking oil, salt and pepper, tea bags and coffee, also cling film and foil to name a few. We had full use of the garden, with a lovely seating area in a rural setting. It was a superbly comfortable stay, but above all, it was our hosts friendliness and care which made the stay so special, once again, thank you Martin and Rod, we look forward to visiting again.

The absolutely lovely hosts, who lives next door with their two dogs and three horses, made sure we had everything we needed into every little detail. And to top everything up to next level, a chilled rosé and a hom(m)e baked sourdough bread was waiting for us on arrival!

The accommodation was excellent, fantastic hosts everything was so clean and tidy and they thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. Their attention to detail was exceptional, a hidden gem. We will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.
