“Lovely well equipped home in a peaceful location”
Lovely, well equipped home in a peaceful location. Very clean with everything you need and exactly as described. We really enjoyed sitting out on the veranda eating our meals. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. Good communication with Pierre, our host. There is a lovely shingle beach at St. Martin Plage, and there is access to the coastal path (GR21) that runs along the Alabaster Coast (Côte d’Albâtre). Dieppe is a 10 minute drive away. It has a lovely harbour, château (with excellent views), and a huge beach (it's more than just somewhere the ferry goes to!). Rouen is just an hour away. This is a lovely medieval city with cobbled streets, a cathedral, churches, and a big clock (Le Gros-Horloge) as well as plenty of shopping. If you are into military history, then there is plenty to keep you interested, especially concerning the Dieppe Raids, V1 launch sites (e.g., at Guerville) and the touching Canadian Cemetery at Dieppe.
