Overview
Le Coffret is a rural house dating back to 1779. It is located in Jayer area of Saint Marcel, 2 km from the Dora Baltea River and 12 km from Aosta. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi, and garage parking is free. Le Coffret is a typical example of Alpine architecture, featuring stone walls, exposed beams and period furniture. There is a library with reading area on site, and outdoor ski storage. The rooms come with orthopaedic mattresses and pillows, made with a memory foam system. Each features a LED TV with satellite channels. Breakfast is served daily, and includes sweet and savoury seasonal products. Late check-out is possible on request. You can also book treatments at the small spa complete with chromotherapy hot tub.

“Beautiful architecture”
We really liked Le Coffret, it has a unique design and architecture. The owners are very welcoming, flexible and kind. We would certainly like to come back.

Breakfast was delicious. We had breakfast outside in the garden. Everything was well presented and well made.

“Where design meets discomfort”
The mix of natural stone, steel, wood and white is really pleasing to the eyes. The breakfast was good but do not be shy to ask... Nice but somewhat rundown hamlet with beautiful views on the alps on the other side of the valley. There IS a wide road that reaches the place (up to the last 20 m though) but this is not the one proposed by Google Maps or our navigation system for instance: if you are going straight up to the church then back up, go right and climb gently around the hill...
