“Really enjoyed the old buildings”

Pleasant property in the countryside not far from a village. Lots of historic and cultural attractions not too distant. This whole area of France is magical. The property gave us a very pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle of life for two weeks.

What a wonderful spot and host. We stayed in the rather unique dovecote, which was fully of character and charm. The use of a large pool, games area and short walk to the village aubergere were all real positives. Lizzy was extremely helpful and keen to hear about what we had been up to, as well as giving us local ideas.

A warm welcome by the host. A very nice and tranquil rural location, close to nature and not too far from the nearest towns for the groceries. The location is perfect for a mixture between staying at home and daytrips,

The host was lovely, stayed here with family before a wedding. It is a beautiful house with lots of space, It is a shame we came in the winter as there was a swimming pool and lots of land to explore around the property.

Location is fabulous, the views are lovely, and the little village of St Marcel is the prettiest I've seen for many years. It is also extremely well maintained by the residents who clearly have great pride in their surroundings. Peter and Nancy are extremely pleasant and helpful, and there was heaps of space for the dogs to run and enjoy themselves. The Manoir is located within relatively easy reach of Bergerac, Salat, and places of local interest. Although the buildings are old and rustic they are very well equipped. All in all, an experience we will revisit.

“somewhere to escape from all the madness”

we stayed in the pigeon tower, it was basic, nothing fancy, very rustic. just what we expected. it was spotlessly clean! Nancy greeted us, & was very charming. Peter was very nice to. lovely swimming pool, little children’s play equipment, outdoor table & chairs, bbq. at times it was so quiet all you could here was the dog snoring & the birds. church near by, it has a bell. there are woods to explore with your dog, & we found a stream for her to cool down in. you are away from most things, which after a days exploring was wonderful.
