location was great, house was very spacious.

The location of the accommodation was fantastic as was plenty of parking spaces more than 3 cars. Nearly close house (5 minutes walk) was small market for fresh local fruits and vegetables. Also small restaurant and crepery was here. Omaha beach also very close to accomodation. The new house has 3 toilets which was great for a our large group.

The list of complaints: - The internal temperature of the apartment was 14 degrees when we arrived and it was very humid - - The floor and walls of the toilets and bathrooms were very dirty. - The upstairs toilet door was missing a key. So it could not be locked. - All dishes and cutlery had to be machine washed before use. - The oven had used and greasy baking papers from the previous user and the oven needed cleaning. - Kitchen furniture such as table and chairs were very worn and did not reflect the age of the house. - The dining table had dents in every corner. - The kitchen chairs and the fabric of the sofa were very dirty. There were clear traces of liquids and other dirt. - In one bedroom there was a broken bed which had been tried to be repaired with a pile of tile tiles. - The mattress of this bed and the mattress topper were in a filthy condition. - The outside areas were not maintained. - Outdoor furniture and a barbecue were along the backyard Other important information When we checked the apartment before settling in, we found dozens of dead insects on the floor. The same insects were also found on the patio of the apartment. We also noticed a requirement to pay a €500 damage insurance premium on arrival under the "Frequently Asked Questions" section on the property page. This should have been paid in cash and, according to the text, would have been returned in cash after the approved follow-up inspection. We wondered how this would have worked if the landlord could not be contacted? We understand that cash payments are not in accordance with Booking.com terms and conditions.

Key box, although included in a photo, was well hidden to the rear of the property. When we first arrived we thought it was the house in front and not the one at the rear, so perhaps a little better signage?
