Me and my girlfriend stayed at 1855 for five nights and had the most wonderful stay with Pierre-Marc and his wife Lola in the Dorgdone. First of all the farm-house is exceptionally beautiful Each room within it furnished to a very high-spec, with very comfortable beds and crucially has great aircon - a rarity. The pool is one of the nicest we have swam in and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has excellent sun loungers.  Each day is punctuated by morning yoga (free), taught onsite by the wonderful Julie, and Lola's cooking - which is the best in the local area. Breakfast is a multi course selection of fresh fruit, yogurts and freshly cooked dishes such as french toast. The evening meal is three courses of modern twists on traditional french food, such as duck breast or an avocado tatar. All of the dishes we tried were immensely delicious and among the best food we had in our holiday.  Normally you wouldn't bother with onsite food if you were staying in a hotel, but the experience here is quite different and well worth doing. The quality is immensely high plus the social experience with other guests alongside Marc-Pierre and Lola is a great addition. You get welcomed in as one of the family and each evening is truly memorable and more like staying with friends rather than hotel or Airbnb.  We can't recommend staying here enough and will be back next year.

The location is amazing, surrounded by nature. The farm has been brilliantly renovated, and the interior design is sublime. The breakfast on its own is worth the trip, and the dinners are fabulous, Lola is an excellent cook. Both Lola and Pierre-Marc are very friendly and welcoming, and made themselves available at all times to help out and make us feel at home. Strongly recommended !
