“Would return again for the experience of spending the night in a 200+ Y-O home.”
Although the auberge was antiquated, it had all the working amenities (electricity, hot water, shower, etc). Our stay was on May 22-23, hence cool weather (but we were comfortable). The establishment has no AC, hence I don't know how comfortable it will be during the night without AC in June and July hot months. But since it's located near flow of St-Lawrence river, it may not be an issue. You, need to ask the host of the auberge.

“I would love to return sometime”
The communication regarding our arrival was excellent. The manager, Sébastien, was wonderful. In addition to preparing a delicious breakfast, he shared lots of historical background regard l'Île d'Orleans and the auberge. Having the art gallery on the main floor to explore was an added bonus. The auberge was also a great place to use as a base to explore the island.

Great location, breakfasts and service. Quaint building, a little creaky and noisy from early morning traffic, but all negative erased by yhe amazing view of the St. Laurent River and nearby restaurants and craft shops.

“Rustic Lodge for Quiet Rejuvenation”
Very homey, authentic and quiet lodgings and the breakfast crepes were seriously some of the best I've ever had. The other guests were quiet and the art gallery on the ground floor was a nice touch. Staff are attentive and welcoming.

“Have to come back!”
Most beautiful place on earth. Saw 4 bald eagles. 3 mature and 1 immature. The grounds were so nice better than any of the water front restaurants even. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious!

Fredrick is a wonderful host. Brought us a memory to live in a 17th-century cozy room, a backyard with fantastics seaview. A totally different accommodation experience, worth a try. Yummy breakfast, food source originated from the island.

“You will enjoy any amount of time spent here!”
The view was memorizing, the tide differential in fathoms is 5.3 meters. Constantly something different to look at. You can hear the freighters/tankers before you see them. Real was very helpful in identifying places to eat. When I woke up in the morning to dining in a room surrounded by exquisite folk art along w/exceptional Canadian painters work I thought I was in a dream. Sebastian is a true professional hotelier. No detail is overlooked.
