“A little piece of paradise”

We highly recommend a visit to Mango Island Lodge. We received a wonderful welcome from a smiling and extremely helpful Lina. Stephane the owner was always was on hand to answer any questions and to make recommendations for what to visit during your time here. Marina was there to greet us with a smile at breakfast each morning. The location is perfect for exploring the island, the gardens are beautiful and the rooms extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated, spacious, cool and spotlessly clean. Stephane is also busy in the kitchen in the evening to prepare wonderful dinners in the internationally inspired restaurant overlooking the ocean. We highly recommend a stay here at Mango Island Lodge - you won't be disappointed

The room was spacious dominated by a very comfortable queen sized bed complete with netting surround. The bathroom also very roomy with three different shower options. There was also a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Everything was very clean and decorated in theme. There was a lovely terrace with table and chairs for two and a wonderful view of the sea. The pool was a glorious necessity, clean and well maintained. The pulley system delivering our drinks from the bar to the pool was an entertaining touch. The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Marina who made breakfast and looked after us and the rooms, and Lina who made the best margaritas and pina coladas. The bar was available all day. Stephane ensured we could get back up the steep hill to the bungalows after a day at the local beach by providing us with a mobile phone for free local calls to request a ride back as we did not have a car.

The owners were very welcoming and very helpful. With an intimate knowledge of the island, they helped us with the planning of our activities and organised guides where required. The staff were friendly, happy, very efficient and attentive. The accommodation was perfectly located for all the hikes and island activities, lovely views from the rooms and the pool, and the rooms were quiet, clean and well equiped. Highly recommended.

By far our best accommodation on Dominica. The whole area is very well maintained and created with a lot of focus on details. The room was spacious and we loved the decor. The views are amazing. Would definitely come again.

A very small (6 rooms!) and peaceful hotel situated about half way up the West coast of Dominica. The location provides easy access to both the the natural wonders of the Valley area behind Roseau and the Portsmouth area in the NW. Mero beach is nearby and walkable, at least on the way down. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent room (we booked one of the Prestige rooms), lovely dinners.

A really nice, boutique hotel in a stunning location, convenient for visiting most of the island (with a car). Stephane was incredibly helpful with planning places to visit, and his team are excellent and really friendly. Food was good too.

Everything perfect. Rooms, service etc. We will definitely come back.

“Pure Bliss”

Our stay at Mango Island Lodges left us refreshed, serene, and ready to get back to real life. Mango Island is not a conventional hotel - it is a beautiful, lovingly built home Stéphane and Karine graciously share with the rest of the world. Each room is unique, with whimsical touches and beautiful art work, yet not skimping on creature comforts like a hair dryer or the means to make a good cup of tea. The infinity pool offers views of the sun setting over the Caribbean, plus the chance to cool weary muscles after a long day of island hiking. The food in the restaurant is the best we’ve had on Dominica, served with a smile by Lina, who also mixed up a perfect rum punch and Mango Colada. My husband and I know our way around Dominica, but we heard Stéphane and Karine recommend tours to other guests, tailored to their individual needs and interests. They really, really want their lodgers to gave the best possible experience during their stay on Dominica, and they are willing to put in every bit of extra time and effort this may take. Mango Island Lodges is friendly, yet professional. It’s a home away from home that also feels very special - a tricky balance to achieve, but Stephane and Karine have found it. We will definitely be back.

“Relaxing stay at Mango Island Lodges”

We returned for a second time as our last stay was perfect. And once again, we had the best stay during our entire trip. The room has everything you need. Very spacious and clean. Very good and big bed, well functioning AC, very nice shower, etc... Only good things! Also both the owners, Stephan and Carine, are so helpful. We had a bit of a medical issue and they immidiatly helped us. Also the food is the best you can have on the island! Both of them are very good cooks! The swimming pool/jacuzzi is a big benifit to cool down and relax. The lodges are situated on the Carribean side of Dominica (best side), and from here it is possible to drive to the highlights (Roseau Valley, beaches, snorkling spots, small cities,...) of Dominica all within 1hour. Highly recommend to stay here and enjoy the hospitality of the owners and staff and visit Dominica!

“Relaxing stay in the Mango Room”

Beautiful room (Mango room) with the best bed we had on Dominica. We received a room upgrade as that one was available. The hosts and staff do everything in their power to make your stay a relaxing one. All are very friendly and helpful. We even received a small phone to take with us and to give them a call in case of troubles or questions. Nice view from the swimmingpool/jacuzzi as well. And the food... Amazing and very tasteful! Something you will not find somewhere else. Wifi is available in the entire hotel/lodge.
