Beatrice was a wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful host. We were able to park our motorcycles in her garages - a real bonus a the end and start of a journey.

We stayed for one night, and it was a nice location. The breakfast was more than enough and really nice. The host was very friendly.

The location is very central and close to the riverfront restaurants.From the warm welcome to final goodbyes we liked everything about Les Charmilles. The building is old but quite charming with lots of character. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast simple but plentiful. We liked having breakfast with other guests on the long table. Safe parking for our tandem cycle was a real bonus. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Les Charmilles is a lovely place to stay. It was clean and our host very welcoming. We are cycling and there was a safe space to store our bikes. Breakfast was delicious with home made jams and cakes available. Our host was really helpful in recommending places to visit on our route and kindly gave us some lovely fresh figs from the garden for our lunch.Thank you.

“A lovely stay in a pretty town.”

A fabulous little property - it had such character; the floors and doors were a little wonky, the garden (where we had breakfast) was so pretty, the rooms were furnished traditionally and tastefully, and the hostess Beatrice was a delight (her English was impeccable too!). She gave us some info about the town and was most friendly and helpful, even though we were only there for one night (such a shame).

The location was quiet and close to the restaurants. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The host was very kind. The breakfast was exceptional. Our bikes were stored safely in their garage. A fantastic stay.

“First week in August, one night stay. Amazing”

Beatrice was very welcoming and spoke with impeccable English. Our room was a perfect size for two adults and two children and the beds were some of the most comfortable we've come across. The breakfast was excellent both in variety and quantity and we all departed fully fuelled. The icing on the cake was that as we arrived back in Dover we realised two of our 6 year old daughter's stuffed toys had been left behind. Beatrice made us aware and was happy to send them to us by post. That is above and beyond, we were just blown away on every front and we'll likely be back. One tip, if arriving late, check the riverside restaurants online first and get in a booking. We had to resort to the pizzeria which was ok but the restaurants looked much better, but were fully booked by the time we got there.

Don't do hospitality if you are inhospitable. A check in window of 2 hours, w/o flexibility is unreasonable, especially since visitors come by car and travel large distances. We didn't end up staying here as the owner refused to check us in later (we were delayed due to car troubles, and I wrote a polite messag about this hours before our anticipated check in). She canceled our booking, but kept our money. In the end our fault: I should have known that something was fishy about this place!

Absolutely charming accommodation in an old house which has been renovated with a lot of love! Our first stop on a bicycle tour along the Doubs/Saône. The decor and style in both our room and the dining area was exceptional. The owner was very friendly and provided an excellent breakfast and engaged us in some interesting conversation about the types of tourist she comes across as a B&B provider! We also had a secure place to lock up our bikes.

This is a charming traditional style B&B in the heart of a small town and perfectly situated for our visit to St Jean de Losne. We had a spotlessly clean room (with en-suite bathroom) overlooking the garden at the rear of the property, which is very quiet. Breakfast was very good. Sitting with other guests sitting round a traditional, long dining table at breakfast time, we got to hear about their travels too, which was very nice. There are plenty of restaurants on the riverfront close-by, so it was easy to find somewhere to lunch and dine.
