Overview
Set in a 17th-century former winery with a large park, Domaine de Rennebourg is 30 km east of Surgères and offers an outdoor swimming pool and rooms with antique décors. The place is beautiful, like it is frozen in time, a sneak peek into another era - however it had all the necessary comforts: comfortable mattress, hot water, good lighting, etc. While it was a bit cold, the owner was kind enough to provide an electric heater which made a world of difference. The breakfast was beautifully served and was not only good but also very generous. Overall, a great place to stay and have a different experience to a traditional hotel.

Unique. Stylish. Amazingly beautiful house, gardens and surroundings. Lovely friendly owners. Location great when travelling from Spain to UK. Definitely recommended but keep it a secret or everyone will want to go.

If you love antique, vintage and original French decor you will love this property! Its stunning! The owner is kind and helpful and made us really welcome with our little dog. A great location for a stop over from the A10 too.

The buildings and gardens are wonderful, rooms are vintage but full of character. Our hosts were very welcoming, breakfast was lovely! I would definitely stay here again. Location also is isolated, but close enough to nice town and restaurants.

This was a very welcoming environment. The decor of the room was authentically old-world, the garden was very relaxing and the breakfast was first class. The lady who runs the property really looked after us.

“Hidden gem - would love to visit again!”
What an experience - we arrived quite late and were bit worried since made the last minute reservation. But it was all more than perfect! The whole garden for dogs to run around, us to relax also. Incredible details all around the property and most welcomig Madame of the house. Breakfast was delicious, with home made jam, cheese, fresh coffee, baguette etc. Just loved the place!

This a pre-revolution property, each room is a marvel of antiquity, with an exceptionally friendly hostess and her mother. We stayed as a stopover between St Malo and Spain, and what an unexpected treat. It's B&B only. The local town has the grandest trio of buildings (Hotel de Ville, Palais de Justice and Salle de Ville) that you're likely to find. It was cold weather but the property was kept warm. In warmer weather the gardens would be a delight. And there's a pool.
