“Wonderful stay at historic La Ferme Delaunay”
I stayed for the D-Day commererations. The Location is superb. There is significant 101st airborne history at La Ferme Delaunay as it was the scene of a fierce battle and the scars are still visible. The hosts Emily and Patrice are wonderful. The rooms have old world charm and there are very quiet roads for relaxing walks.

“If you are interested in history you will be in the middle of main landing area of the 101st”
Breakfast was as it should be, good choice, with what you would expect, eggs, cereals, baguette and anything you would want on it. With something special each day, croissants or "crépes" Owners present when needed, to answer questions or offer advice on where to eat. Took the time to give us the local history of the building and the events that did happen there.

This is a really beautiful property which was updated to such a high standard. There is lots of interesting history but also it was so comfortable and had lots of space for our kids to play. Very close to lots of the historical sites of Normandy and only a short drive back to Cherbourg for the ferry

Apart from being a very nice place to stay with great breakfast, clean renovated room, calm atmosphere and great service, it is steeped in history and quite close to other historical sites. We felt like home and will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

We were travelling through Normandy visiting invasion beaches etc and had no idea that this farmhouse saw action in WW11. Emilie is very friendly and knowledgeable on the events that took place here. A great stay with superb breakfast.

A very interesting stay. Comfortable and clean accommodation with bike storage. The hosts Emilie and Patrice were very friendly and helpful. Emilie gave us a short tour and explained the history of the building during WWII and a battle that took place there shortly after D- Day.

“Great place to stay with a poignant reminder of the battle that raged right here in 1944”
Great location for visiting all the WW2 Normandy sites. And the property features in the battle for Normandy with a tribute to a US soldier killed by a sniper who was located in this farmhouse - see the actual sniper position and the memorabilia to the fallen person.
