An excellent starting point to visit Mont-Saint-Michel. Unbeatable position on a coastal street with silhouette of MSM far-away. A very nice room with bathroom. Welcoming owner providing us with rather useful hints for the next-day visit to the abbey.

“A gem worthy of revisits.”
Everything good that was said before about La Greande Mare, is sbsolutely true. The host was most friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was well laid out, superbly and tastefully furnished. An absolute pleasure to stay. Breakfast was ample, tasty and served in an equally beautiful breakfast room with a view onto a beautiful pool area. Really worth a revisit. Also, a special word of thanks and appreciation to Madame Claude Gilbert for her help in sourcing a garage when we encountered the loss of a car tire. Thank you Madame, your assistance aided in us continuing our holiday trip.

Centrally located between Cancale, St Malo, Mont Saint Michel. Oysters for sale next door, actually everywhere. Good value, good breakfast. Clean, pool but too cold weather to swim. Friendly host who can give extra valuable information on visiting Mont Saint Michel. Highly recommended!

La Grande mere was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice, fresh and tasty. Sebastian welcomed us, he was friendly efficient and helpful. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated with a bed built like a boat. On top of all that there is a lovely, well maintained pool. We will definitely stay again.

“Perfect coastal location close to St Malo.”
We booked Le Grand Mare for it's location to St Malo. Our room was outside the main building but nice and quiet and comfortable and we had our own dedicated parking space. It was nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the personalised mugs were a nice touch. Although on a busy coastal road, it was fairly quiet overnight and the shutters guaranteed a good night's sleep. Breakfast was really good, plenty of everything with lots of choice. Our hosts had thought of everything! They have a lovely swimming pool if you fancy it. They are also dog friendly.

Everything, Friendly hosts, very comfortable, good bed, good shower, we were upstairs in the quirky maritime room.lovely property, good French breakfast in a nice breakfast room overlooking the pool and an amaizing Zen style garden. Would definitely return if in the area. Thanks guys. Coco Bay restaurant very good 3 min walk away.

Half way between St Malo and Mont Saint Michel making it a convenient base from which to visit both. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a relaxing room overlooking the pool and garden. Our host passed on some great tips before our day trip to Mont Saint Michel. And again on where to visit before we moved on to Bayeux.
