“I was uneasy with the aromas above all. Cheap is OK but this was below my baseline experience.”

I feel that Micale whose review from September 2025 captures the unease at leaving a bad review however the traveller should know of the shortfalls as set out there, about house smells and not entirely clean. I an not easy to make uncomfortable, but on this occasion I was. I have no idea if I was just unlucky, based on other reviews.

“Below basic standards”

I really hesitated before writing this, because the hosts were very kind. But kindness isn’t enough when you’re charging people to stay. I booked this place because of all the glowing reviews, and honestly I don’t understand them — it makes me wonder if we even stayed in the same place. The house is cluttered to the point there’s no space to even open a suitcase. Cleanliness was a big problem: sheets had stains and hair on them, towels smelled bad, the bathroom had dust and hair, and nothing felt fresh. Worst of all, the whole house has a strong, unbearable odor that makes you feel sick. It was so uncomfortable that we ended up sleeping in our clothing. After leaving, we had to seal our clothes in separate bags because the smell had stuck to them. The only acceptable point was breakfast, and the location is indeed good. The house could have potential, but in its current state it should not be rented to guests. Something is definitely off with the reviews here.

Location. Lovely road, close to sea with beautiful villas all around and a few little shops

The couple hosting us were very sweet and welcoming and tried to communicate as best as they could even though we had a language barrier. I wish I could understand more, as they seemed to have many stories. Would recommend for a day. It's their hospitality that made the place worth it. I liked the maximalistic vibe of the decor, many trinkets around to admire. Lovely people!

“A very nice French couple and a 'real' French home”

The hosts were very flexible and accommodating. We arrived later than expected and they had no problem with this. It is an authentic experience as is their home. Although very small, the beds were comfy and we slept well. It was a step away from the beach with enough restaurants to choose a meal from. It was very quiet. The wifi is excellent. What you see in the photos is what you get, so don't be surprised or expect more.

Location is amazing - few minutes from the sea. Large parking right on the corner. Home made breakfast is amazing. Very friendly owners who lives here. Very interesting things from owners around (if you like home staff) and very nice things in the bathroom (a lot of towles well paced in home style). It is really like you stay as a family guest in somebody's country house.
