“Lovely location, even more lovely people”

Good instructions for parking and entry, so accommodating, we were there for a wedding so our schedule wasn't our own, but the people at the Montague were lovely about it!

The proprietor, location and cleanliness were all great.

very comfortable stay at the Montague Rose Inn . The location was ideal for walking around town and visiting the various sites. Very clean room and the owners made themselves available for any questions or requests. Nice terrasse for sitting outside to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the deer come close by.

Lovely refurbished historical house in a great location. We had a an attractive bedroom with plenty of room. There were some nice touches like snack bars provided. Ben carried our heavy cases upstairs when we checked in.

Beautifully renovated heritage home with a mixture of antique and modern finishes. Quiet inn and street, could easily sleep with the windows open. Just a short walk from the main street with plenty of amenities.

The fridge and coffee maker were in the bathroom. One pillow case and the shower curtain liner were dirty

“A basic room, not worth the high cost.”

The location was good, only a 5-minute walk from Water Street. This historic building has a lot of potential, but the Juliet Room is very basic.

Ben and Zainub are lovely and very helpful hosts, running this pretty Inn 5 minutes walk away from the coast. The bedroom was large, with a comfy bed, and a very well appointed bathroom with quality fittings. The breakfast roll is highly recommended and very tasty 😋

“Beautiful Inn in the heart of St. Andrews”

The room (Verona) was big, clean and extremely comfortable. Easy access on the main floor and practically silent at night even being street level.

A very warm welcome from the owner. The property has loads of English themes. He gave valuable advice on our journey to our next accommodation.

We truly felt welcomed and like we were part of the family when we arrived. Travelling with a toddler is always a roll of the dice, but it was really lovely to stay somewhere that understood what it was like to travel with kids. Ben and Zainub truly went above and beyond for us. When they heard it was our daughter's second birthday, they upgraded us to a different room at no charge and left us a cupcake in the room for her. When we panicked at nap time and realized we'd forgotten to pack our daughter's sleep sack, I texted them with a Hail Mary request and they looked through their own things and delivered. This will be my go-to space to stay when I travel to St. Andrews.

Location is perfect. Walking distance from most attractions in St.Andrews. Service at The Montague Rose is always exceptional, hosts are easy to contact, and very happy to help. We celebrated our anniversary on the weekend for the second time at Montague. We brought a dessert back from a restaurant but forgot to ask for take-away cutlery. Our hosts were more than happy to provide dessert plates and cutlery to us at 9pm!

“A unique little stay, where we felt at home”

I believe that even when you decide to go far from home and want a bit of a change from the everyday, you still want the comfort and warmth of home. That's exactly what my friend and I felt. The two hosts made us feel so welcome, we immediately felt like members of the family. Always available if we needed anything and super open to talk to us/recommend things. Their story with Montague Rose Inn is very inspiring, the place is beautiful and perfectly located. We hadn't even left that we wanted to book to come back during the summer. Great location. helpful owner and a generally nice property. Easy walking distance to the main drag and quiet. I would have stayed an extra night but they were booked up. Would stay again.

Beautifully renovated property in a perfect location in St Andrews. The bed was really comfy, great little touches which just made our stay wonderful. The cafe serves lovely food too which was great as we took it out with us for the day.
