Amazing, beautiful house with a stunning heated pool. David and Wayne are the best hosts and really care that their guests have a good time. Great breakfasts and dinners. Use of electric bikes. This is the perfect place to stay.

We loved everything about our stay here! The building itself is beautiful with lots of character. The environment is calm and surrounded by nature. The hosts Wayne and David were very nice and accommodating and put a lot of thought into the details. We hope to come back again soon!

Fantastic B&B / Guesthouse, run by amazing hospitable owners, David and Wayne. They made us feel at ease and at home from the moment we arrived through their warmth and hospitality. Breakfast is good and healthy, dinner provided on Saturday to Tuesday is delicate and delicious. The massage provided by Tom was amazing, we have lots of experience when it comes to massages but Tom has extraordinary skills. The surrounding area of the B&B is stunning. We will definetely come back and will recommend The Old Presbytery to anyone travelling to the area of Bordeaux/Bergerac.

The hosts were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. What a gorgeous stay away while attending one of my best friends weddings just down the road. The food, the location, the doggies and the pool and everything was just exception. I’m a bit fussy but this was sheer bliss. So calm and lovely.

We had a wonderful few days at the Old Presbytery. Wayne and David were excellent hosts - they really looked after us and gave great recommendations on local restaurants & amenities. The location is very peaceful with stunning views, and is a short drive to town and local wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, including a delicious breakfast & David’s evening meals. Couldn’t recommend enough, and we look forward to heading back soon!

We spent a wonderful week with Wayne and David this summer. After a very busy and stressful year, we piled our two (medium/large) dogs into the car and drove down. It was our first trip with dogs, and we soon realised we had stumbled upon THE perfect place for ourselves and our pooches. The property is absolutely beautiful but also comfortable and welcoming, the location is perfect for a relaxing stay, close to the town and markets but not in the thick of things. The views are to die for and the pool overlooks these wonderful typically Dordogne vistas. We loved the way that Wayne and David worked so hard to make us feel welcome and they were so relaxed with the dogs, having two of their own. The property is surrounded by plum orchards so plenty of walks, and we went to wonderful markets in Eynan and the closest towns. Wayne is full of ideas for trips, and we had a fabulous experience at the night market, and wine tasting which he had recommended. David is a fantastic cook, and we had amazing platters, fish stew and of course the pizza evening on Sunday which broke the ice with other guests perfectly. Honestly, it really feels like you are staying with friends rather than in a hotel. Wayne made fab G+Ts in the bar downstairs, there is an honesty fridge by the pool and we really appreciated the option of self-catering in their apartment. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Old Presbytery for a luxurious and totally relaxing stay- we will definitely be back!

“Fantastisch!”

Extra ordinary guest house, extra ordinary location and extra ordinary hosts! Amazing view on the valley and river Dordogne, a haven of peace and quiet, still close to the town of Sainte-Foy-la- Grande and its restaurants, bakeries,... David and Wayne are the most amazing hosts, who go all the way to give you the ultimate holiday feeling. Dinner prepared by David was delicious! We used the bikes for a ride along the Dordogne, walked a small part of the Compostella trail, went on a tour in a bio vineyard, visited Saint Emilion and Bordeaux. All for which we got tips from Wayne. Who, on top of everything, gave us his own musquito device after the only musquito in the house visited us at night. Needless to say we had the ultimate experience and will not hesitate to visit again if we come back to the region!

The Old Presbytery is a beautifully renovated characterful property with a lovely garden area and a great pool. The location is quiet and peaceful yet convenient for exploring the local area. Wayne and David are charming and engaging hosts.

Our stay at the old presbytery was faultless. Wayne and David have thought of everything and made our stay truly wonderful. The rooms were spacious, bed super comfortable and bathroom nice and clean. David cooked us the most delicious dinner on the first night. There was also e-bikes to use and we had a great time riding around the different towns and through vineyards. The pool area is picturesque by the plum orchard and we had beautiful weather to lie by the pool. The breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. We definitely want to come back and stay again!

The old Presbytery is a fantastic property in a great location for exploring the local area. We travelled with our dog and from the first second felt extremely welcome and well cared for. Wayne and David were always on hand to help with local tips and recommendations as well as being superb hosts. This is a great place to use as a base to explore the Bordeaux wine region or indeed to simply relax by the pool and enjoy some great food. We really enjoyed the facilities at the property such as e-bikes which are a great way to nip to local markets/restaurants.

We loved everything about The Old Presbytery. From the warmth of the welcome through to the high standards visible throughout the property. The superb setting, the lovely pool and the beautiful food prepared fresh every day. The Pizza and Meat Free evenings where all guests are invited to attend were a real highlight where we met and chatted with people from all over the world and every walk of life. By the end of our stay we were wondering if we had spent time at a Chambre d'hote or a friends house. Attentive to all their guests Wayne and David have put their hearts into this business and richly deserve every success. We will be back!

Wayne and David were fabulous hosts, going above and beyond to create an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Plenty of recommendations and advice which was really helpful. Lovely pool and great room, well appointed and really homely. Delicious food and wine on offer. Sunday night is pizza night and Monday is meat free Monday which you can join other guests on the terrace, we did both and it was lovely! We could park on site and also use the Ebikes to explore the area. Within an hour were many activities and things to do if you wish.
