“Nice lodge, awesome food, drunk staff”

The food (breakfast/dinner) was amazing. It was the best in our whole peru trip yet. Also the terasse in the lodge is calming.

Great location, friendly host and his son, who share the hosting duties. Nice veranda with chairs for relaxing after a hike. Hot water available.

We had a wonderful stay at Refugio de Mery. The room was spacious and comfortable with a private bathroom. The food was amazing - the best we had on the Salkantay Trek. The location is right on the trail too. I would highly recommend!

I’ve had such a nice stay at refugio de Mery, the rooms were spacious, fresh and clean with a clean bathroom and towel and shampoo included, the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful, the food was incredibly good and the proprietor is such a kind person ❤️ highly recommend

“Very comfortable and relaxing”

Quiet, beautiful scenery, great fresh food, comfortable room and terrace. Rosalio was very easy going and fun to chat with, he is an incredible cook too and likes to take care of travelers!

Everything was 10/10. Best breakfast I had in Salkantay trek. Private room, very hot shower, with towel and soap included. Cozy and comfortable beds. The owner is incredibly kind.

“Awesome”

Great place to unwind. You can actually stay longer here to relax and enjoy the outdoors and nature. We saw a lot of different type of birds here. The staff go out of their way to assist with your request. They fixed the Hot Water Shower immediately after we asked about it and noticed that the Hot Shower is not working. Room was nice, comfortable and big.

The owners were lovley people, great service, exceptional food and we really loved the coffee tour. This was a great place to rest along the trek.

We loved the hosts, they were super friendly and engaging. Also loved the coffee tour and the food was so amazing. The beds were super comfy too. We loved everything.

The best accommodation on the Salkantay trail so far. There is wifi, hot shower and really nice rooms. On request, the host made really good vegan food for me. They also do coffee tours on their own plantation. I recommend.

I cannot imagine better, friendlier and more comfortable place to stay at Salkantay Trek. The owners were super helpful and friendly. We were welcomed as part of family! The room was spacious, clean, with private bathroom (was not expecting that at all) with super comfy beds. And the food… OMG I have no word to express how good it was!!!! I wish I could stay longer…

“Incredible stay right on the Salcantay.”

Comfortable beds, hot water, WiFi. The breakfast and dinner prepared in house were both amazing and decent sized. Little to no English spoken.

“Amazing little paradise in the middle of the jungle”

Mery was incredibly kind and welcoming, the location was wonderful, truly paradise on earth. The rooms were spacious with their own bathroom, and we got our own towels (quite a luxury for a Salkantay Trek refugio). We really enjoyed the coffee experience offered, it was super educational and fun, one of my favourite experiences of the whole trip. The food was INCREDIBLE, the best we had during our trek by far. Overall 10/10 and I will definitely go back some day.
