Overview
Located in the famous Furuyu Hot Spring area of Saga Prefecture, Furuyu Onsen Oncri features a mixture of traditional and modern architectural design. Providing various types of indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, the hotel offers a free shuttle to/from JR Saga Train Station, 18 km away. The spacious rooms include air-conditioning and a flat-screen TV, and have a dining area with a refrigerator with minibar and an electric kettle. The en suite bathroom has slippers and amenities. A foot bath is available. The hotel offers a gift shop for buying souvenirs, and a kid’s corner for guests with children. Ski slopes are a 15-minute drive away. Sebri restaurant serves Italian cuisine using locally grown food. Authentic Japanese dishes can be tasted at Kimi restaurant. A shuttle service is available to/from Saga Airport, at extra charge. It can also be requested to/from other places, upon advance inquiry.

“Quiet and welcoming, but still great for families”
This was one of our favorite hotels in Japan. We traveled with kids, including one very fussy eater. I explained his preferences before we arrived, and the staff ensured he had meals he liked every time. We enjoyed dinner at both the Japanese and Teppanyaki restaurants (skipping the Italian one). The hotel is welcoming and quiet, yet still very kid-friendly. The breakfast is extensive, and having a car was easy since there’s plenty of parking at the hotel and it's nececary for exploring the area. The indoor and outdoor onsens were also very user-friendly. We hope to visit again!

“Beautiful hotel with good room, onsen & food but is a bit difficult to access in extreme weather”
The hotel is located in the beautiful mountains in Saga. The scenery is beautiful with snowing. The room is excellent with friendly staff. They serve excellent meals which are inclusive in the room rate. The Onsen is good.

Rooms are big and comfortable, beds and beddings also very good. Food quality exceeded expectataions - both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Onsen also very nice.

The kaiseki dinner is very nice. Breakfast spread was good and varied. The onsen facilities in ryokan is very good, especially the open air bath area. The sand bath option is unusual, and the foot bath avail is nice too. Even as the staff mostly cannot speak english well, they were very helpful and assisted to their best efforts. The shop in lobby level is interesting with things to purchase.
