Amazing historical house, operated by a lovely and friendly family in addition to being great value for money. Beds were comfy and had all the facilties you could need. Perfect location to explore the old town.

“Best hotel ever”

The best host ever in my traveling. I hurt my knee the day before I arrived. The host took me to the pharmacy in his own car and then brought me to the hospital to see the doctor, helped me communicate with the doctor in Arabic. After I received X-ray examination, he took me to the pharmacy again and bought the medication for me. After we returned to the hotel, I rested in my room. His wife brought me dinner and breakfast the next morning. When I left, he insisted that the meals were their treat, for free. I would love to recommend them to all travelers. They treat the travelers not only as their guests, but also as friends. The family has held the hotel for 14 years. It’s a typical local house, walkable to everywhere. Clean and comfortable room. Quiet town.

Great location. Near to most of the sights. Easy parking next to hotel towards the mosque. The owner helped me with the bags since my room was upstairs. Staying here gave me the experience how the people used to live in a Konak.

Very near the old bazaar. Old building(1880 I think)so do be prepared for some steep steps. Lovely breakfast, usual Turkish fare plus fried puffy bread or omelette. Very helpful owner.

“Recommended if you look for and historic place with gorgeous nature arround”

This is different kind of hotel comparing to most of other hotels we have been to. It is an old Ottoman style, traditional house, converted to the hotel. We felt that provision of required services, while preserving authentic facility was done very well, and we felt really nice. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is great.

“Great experience in a real Otoman house in the center of Safranbolu”

It's basic establishment in a large old Otoman building, with only about 6 rooms. Seems to be a family run hotel, with extremly friendly and helpful staff. Great value for your money, very nice breakfast.

Historical building, full of character, quirks and charm. Very clean, excellent shower, comfy bed, great old town location.

The hotel is a beautiful, well-preserved historic mansion that captures the essence of Safranbolu’s rich heritage. Rooms: The rooms are tastefully decorated, combining traditional Ottoman charm with modern comforts. My room was clean, spacious, and filled with character. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor. Service: The hospitality at Arifbey Konak was exceptional. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Location: The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Safranbolu’s old town, within walking distance of many historical sites and attractions. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area’s unique architecture and picturesque streets.

The host was kind and courteous. Requests are answered quickly. They always ask you what you need. The most important thing is the good cleanliness of the place. The hotel is very close to transportation, cafes and restaurants.
