Absolutely superb. The former mill is in an idyllic setting; very peaceful, yet within an easy drive to places of interest. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Fabrice reserved a table for us at a restaurant in Azay called Ripaille, where we enjoyed an excellent dinner. He is a wonderful host and has a great personality. We've booked again for next year. Thoroughly recommended.

This place was just magical. A real find!! The welcome was so warm, the food incredible and the setting idyllic. Felt like you were in the middle of a stunning water colour. Top it off with a jacuzzi, a kayak and a charming host. Nothing not to love!

This is a beautiful location; the ancient buildings are surrounded by the river and lush greenery. Meals were taken outside - and as a bonus we saw a kingfisher at breakfast time. We had a lovely dinner there, and took Fabrice’s recommendation for a stunning 12thC restaurant in walkable distance on the other evening. (We booked two months ahead, or wouldn’t have got in.) The hosts were delightful, and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms were absolutely lovely 💕 Fabrice’s suggestions for local visits were also ace - one Renaissance chateau (Chǎteau d’Azay-le-Rideau); the other very different, with the focus on life there from 1930-70 - it’s where Wallis Simpson and the Duke of Windsor were married. It has a fascinating back story - Domain de Candé in Monts.

The host, Fabrice, the stunning house and surroundings which are breathtaking, situated on the Indre river, where we swam during our time there. The room was beautiful, spotless and cool in the hot weather. House close to amazing sites like Chateau Villandry and others and some excellent restaurants.

Thoughtfully prepared with offer of cooked eggs. Comfortable ground floor dining area with views out to terrace over the river. In better weather, breakfast outside would be great.

Amazingly wonderful location near the borders of the river and the old watermill. Excellent place to come to rest. The hosts Fabrice and François are super friendly, they give great advice on what to see and what to do, where to eat etc...tasty and copious breakfeast. Great that there is a jacuzzi and the possibilty to go kayaking on the river.

Everything! What’s not to like - great location on the river island, super friendly host, great breakfast, nature at its best, comfy rooms… just to say a few details. I wish we stayed longer than just a weekend, but we’ll be coming again for sure
