“Incredible safari, amazing service”

Incredible safari. Fj and Mike our guide and tracker gave us an unforgettable experience between the safaris and bush walks with lots of close encounters and always feeling safe. Food and service was also excellent and very friendly.

The breakfasts were excellent as well as the lunches and dinners. The game drives were spectacular. We saw the Big 5 continually. Bongoni, our tracker and Mark, our driver were terrific. One morning they tracked a leopard for a couple of kilometres and found him.

Well where can I start? I think it’s staff that really makes this place special. From the time we arrived they were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. We had FJ as our ranger and Ian as our tracker and they looked after us like family. They work really well together and made sure we had some incredible sightings. The kitchen and wait staff were are all so lovely as well. The food was delicious every day and we looked forward to seeing their smiling faces at breakfast….even though we had been up since the crack of dawn! Thanks Idube, you made our stay truly memorable.

Breakfasts were delicious, all hot food was cooked to order and there was always a lovely selection of fresh fruit, and a different juice each day. Our waitress Petunia always had a smile

everything about our stay at Idube was beyond expectation from start to finish. accommodation was extremely well kept and very comfortable. such a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the bush surrounded by animals that wander in and out of the grounds. the staff were fantastic and really made us feel like part of family. all the meals were impeccable and served with a smile. as the for the game drives, all I can say is wow. the rangers and trackers are in a league of their own. if you want an experience you will talk about for years to come, this is the place to be.

The game drives were excellent and the definite highlight of the stay, with Mark and Ian being superb rangers/trackers. We not only saw the big 5 but also a cheetah and wild dogs going in a hunt which are really rare sightings. The food at the lodge was excellent and the premises was very spacious.

There's so many things to love. Starting off with the friendly and supportive staff. This was my first time traveling on my own to the Sabi Sands region and what an incredible drive from Johannesburg. There's about 10-11 Kms of dirt roads when getting there - about 2.5 Kms before Newington Gate and another 7.8 Kms inside the reserve. The staff were ready and waiting. I had communicated with them via WhatsApp that I was on my way while they planned for any specific dietary requirements. Stayed there for 2 nights, did 4 game drives and a bush walk and there's just so much to love - whether it's socializing with the friendly staff like Ebert, Charita and others till 10-11pm at night while hearing the roar of lions in the distance or just the phenomenal tracking abilities of the Ranger (Promise) and Tracker (Ronald) or just the General staff like Mavis and Aufree providing and serving some best food I've had in an exceptionally long time, it was an experience that I'll take with me as I immigrate. This is something that not just local South Africans should experience but many others outside of the beautiful African continent.

The staff were amazing. Charita & Evert as hosts were fantastic. The ranger, Promise, was of the best we have ever experienced & he made the unbelievable game drives even better with his great knowledge. The lodge is perfectly situated within Sabi Sands. The gardens are well kept & they have a hide across a small bridge at a watering hole which is really stunning. The food at Idube was absolutely fantastic!
