“Rustic and charming, with great views”
The view from the veranda down into the valley and across to the mountains was stunning. The cottage has a rustic charm that you can't help but like. Sitting in the lounge in the evenings with the wind blowing outside was very relaxing and cozy.

“Lovely little cottage on the mountainside!”
Casa Chicua is an adorable little cottage, rustic but comfortable, and Juan (the host) couldn’t have been any friendlier or more accomodating. It’s super close to the Volcán Irazu so perfect for an early morning visit there. The views from the cottage are also amazing, we awoke early to find ourselves above the clouds. Enchanting!

“Great option for an early volcano visit.”
Cute little house close to Irazu Volcano National Park. It's a little old fashioned but had a well equipped kitchen. A good option for an early start at the volcano. Make sure you book entrance tickets to the volcano online in advance - they are not available on the gate.

Proximity to Irazú volcano and stunning views. Wildlife viewing from the porch. Clean with good facilities. Extra blankets and heaters provided for the cold nights.

“A lovely house for an overnight stay near Irazu”
-A cute house with an amazing view -Fully equipped kitchen, incl. coffee machine + coffee -A heater to make the night more comfortable -We were happy that we could walk to a restaurant (Linda Vista) -Just 20mins drive from Irazu -Check-in and check-out were easy, we just provided the host with a time and she came to open and close the doors

The spot of the house is amazing. In the mountain with a great view and nice walks from there. The heating system is great, you are not cold at nights
