I stayed four nights in Saar grund Hotel Adler and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, minimal, and had an amazing view of the mountains and river. The staff were all very friendly, especially Ms.Linda she was incredibly kind and gave me great suggestions on places to visit. Also, the location offers easy access to both the city and mountain area. Highly recommended.

my room was cozy and warm (travels in winter): the wooden furniture, wooden bed structure and the painting on the wall reminded me of my summer mountain holidays as a child. bliss. bed was comfy and all other amenities great. the friendliness of the staff, super. opposite the hotel property is a bus stop, so super close to other highlights in the area. breakfast was plenty and tasty.

Traditional Swiss hotel but recently renovated. Didn’t understand why it wasn’t full. The welcome was lovely. Couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfast was great. Bed very comfortable.

Linda went above and beyond to accommodate us at Hotel Adler. The room was perfect for myself and my sister in a fantastic location. We stayed for a 4 course dinner both nights which was amazing!

“Okay place for a short stay”

As many people stated in their reviews, the place was old, but really well maintained. The host was very nice. The location is a bit of Saas Grund, but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel, so we just had to make sure to time ourselves correctly to get the bus into Saas Grund to change there or sometimes even go directly to Saas Fee from our hotel stop. Every person staying in the area and paying the tourist tax (included in the hotel fee here) gets the Saastaal card, which lets you travel on buses for free and gives some discounts on lifts, etc. It was Easter, and on Sunday everyone got a coloured egg and a chocolate bunny at breakfast, which was very sweet of them.
