The staff is truly amazing. As other reviewers have pointed out, Felipe, the driver, is probably the happiest and friendliest person we've met. The kitchen staff was incredibly accommodating with my vegan wife, preparing every evening a special menu just for her! The hotel is a little remote, a 10 minute walk from the edge of the village, but this was actually an advantage: we were dropped off and picked up every day to/from the slopes, so in the end we ended up getting there and coming back more comfortably than we would have if we had been living in the village. Our beds were incredibly comfortable.

“Quiet serene a little unusual”

If you want quiet, great views, very attentive staff and a low intrusion getaway this is the place for you. The staff were very attentive and tried hard to make our stay very relaxing. It is some distance from the centre of Saas Fee but this is made very clear in the description. Rooms very spacious and comfortable with some nice touches like free soft drinks.

Perfect location, just far enough away from the busy life in Saas Fee to experience the tranquility of the woods. Beautiful views of the Weissmies and the valley below. Excellent kitchen and an impressive wine cellar. Nevertheless, it was the friendliness and personal attention from everyone in the hotell staff that made the biggest impression. Top notch!

“Good resort but far from village”

The view was amazing but the website was very misleading in saying it was a 2 bed apartment whereas it was 2 separate rooms. Our driver Phillipe was incredible! So friendly and a very good human being. God bless him.

Spacious comfortable and quite

Where to start? The place is a little island of peace and quietness in the middle of a forrest. At the same time, it is extremely close to the village (15 minutes walking distance). In addition, there is a private transport service organised by the hotel, which was extremely convenient for skiing. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and professional. They go the extra mile to make your stay nothing less than perfect, and do so while creating a very personal atmosphere. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which offers a very good selection of local and European dishes, and the wine selection is exquisite. Even though the rating of the WiFi on this website is a bit lower, the hotel fixed this convincingly by providing you with a wifi receiver to take to the room. This fully solved any issue that might have been there in the past, since the wireless internet worked perfectly.

The breakfast was excellent ,special thanks to Petra for helping us have a wonderful and a relaxed breakfast on the sunny terrasse,in fact, the best breakfast we have had in Switzerland so far. The hotel is located in the middle of the woods, so Phillips took us around, to the centre/car park in the hotel's battery operated vehicle,and made it enjoyable and comfortable for us with his friendly banter. A special Thanks to the staff for being so thoughtful and making the effort to send my towel back by post which I forgot there, even without my asking them to do so, really sweet!

“A "must-see and must-stay" in Saas-Fee”

Waldhotel Fletschhorn is one of these unique places where one regrets not being able to attribute a 6th star (although the hotel is only rated 4*). The unbeatable view of the mountains coupled with the kindness and professionalism of the staff makes it a must-see in Saas-Fee.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They could not have done more to make the stay better. Nothing was a problem and always with a smile. The style of the hotel is classic, its kept very clean and maintained well. The view from the property is amazing too. We were there in the summer and we found it very relaxing and peaceful. Great to sit out in the evening. The sauna after a day hiking was great . The food menu is small but excellent, less is more in this case and a fantastic selection of wines too. Overall, Its highly recommended.
