Overview
The peaceful Lapland Hotel Riekonlinna is 500 metres from Saariselkä village, right next to Urho Kekkonen National Park. Guests can enjoy free sauna admission and access to excellent skiing. Comfortable hotel, the only think is that we stayed in dependance so we had to carry our superheavy backpack ourselves quite far. The rest was great, breakfast was excellent, we had sauna in the bathroom.

Great location, near the Lapland Safari Office and near the ski area. Hotel is ok if you don't have high expectations.

“Good hotel for cross country skiing lovers.”
Great hotel for cross country skiing lovers. Very close to the skiing tracks and the city center. Amazing breakfast but also good diner (buffet available). Shop to rent ski etc. in the same building. There is also communal sauna and individual and a gym. Bus going to the airport stops/leaves in front of the hotel. We went beginning of April so not too busy.

The hotel is nice, in a perfect spot and has a beautiful view. The room has a nice little terrace to admire the snow all around. The food at the restaurant was great and so was the breakfast. The staff was super kind. We had a pleasant stay here!

“Not to be reccomended”
The price/quality is nowhere near what it should be. We stayed in a superior room, which was supposedly renovated recently, but felt like it was straight from 30 years ago. The room/hotel feels outdated, the bathroom was tiny, unfinished and felt like a complete afterthought. Bed was tiny, and as soft as a cloud (not in the good way). To wrap things up, the sockets in the room all had burn marks on them, so charging your phone here might not be the best idea. Breakfast was mediocre at best, plenty of choice, but quality wise, again not at the level it should be when charging the money that this hotel does
