“A magical experience never to forget!”

My husband and I had a dreamy fairytale time here. The view from our room was stunning, the bed and room were very comfortable and the breakfast was really tasty. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful! We really enjoyed walking through the private forest and experiencing the cold weather and deep snow for the first time-it was very special. We also liked our reindeer and snowmobiling adventures. We were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. Thank you so much Pasi and Nina :)

We had a great birthday celebration with Nina’s surprise! Have to mention that the food at Aurora Queen is also far beyond our expectations! “Stunning Igloo Room and Forest Surroundings, Luxury and tailored boutique hotel!”

My wife and I were absolutely amazed by our overall experience staying at the Aurora Queen Igloo Hotel in Lapland during our recent visit. The glass igloo rooms were stunning, snowy forest surroundings of the resort absolutely picturesque and both the service and attention to detail from the owners and staff were off the charts! From the moment we arrived, everything at this hotel felt very luxurious, personal and special. We also did various activities through the hotel, which were organised perfectly. The owners even tweaked our itenary to maximise our chances of seeing the strongest aurora lights and they were spot on! We managed to see some of the strongest and brightest lights in some remote field during the northern lights excursion with them and got the best pictures/videos! Will be back again, Chris & Ali

“Great place to experience Lapland with exceptional service from the owners!”

The hospitality from Nina and Pasi was exceptional. Very personalised service and made us all feel like home during our stay there. The resort is clean, peaceful and not congested and thus relaxing and comfortable with a lot of private space. Food was great including the breakfast that was part of the room package. The walk of the trail around the resort was another highlight for us besides the snowmobile safari and reindeer safari.

Breakfast was excellent. Great selection of food and quality was outstanding. The igloo was comfortable and luxurious. The resort area was also very beautiful to walk and explore. Our hosts Nina and Pasi were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful!

Hotel owners were very friendly, the hotel main building was amazing. Rooms are incredibly comfortable. The food, both breakfast and dinners were so much better comparing Rovaniemi center and Helsinki.

“Relaxed opulence”

This was one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. Certainly in the top 10 anywhere in the world. The owners seem to work so incredibly hard and at the same time make the experience feel very personal. This is pure opulence but at the same time feeling very relaxed. It’s like a home from home; like staying with friends who want to look after you. Their business model seems fairly unique but works incredibly well. We had the best, most relaxing time and were so incredibly grateful to Nina and Pasi for their hospitality and to Constantina who was the best waitress ever. We loved her. We are really grateful for the extra attention Nina gave to my wife who had a milestone birthday while we were there. The food was great, the room was perfect and whilst it took some adjustment to get used to compete silence, it was so refreshing. We would definitely come back !

All in all one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Perfect on so many levels, and in every little detail. Everything is almost new. The owner couple, extremely nice and friendly, go above and beyond to make your stay a complete pleasure and you feel almost like a private guest. Situated in Kakslautannen, ca. 10 km south of Saariselkä, it is beautifully nestled within a fairy tale forest with pristine snow everywhere. The igloos are far enough apart to create a very individual feeling for each house. The main house is beautiful and serves both as reception area, lounge and restaurant. Because they have only a limited number of houses it is never overcrowded and creates a very personal feeling, unlike many similar hotels in the area that are rather factory-like. Food is excellent, somewhat limited choices, especially when your stay is longer than the usual 2-3 days. Service personnel excels in everything, very warm and friendly and efficient. We also booked a tour where we happened to be the only guests which was wonderful. Nina gave us a big farewell hug - that alone says it all. Thank you for a wonderful week!
