Overview
The family-run Hotel Anker in the historic centre of Saalfeld features the regional Güldene Gans restaurant. Emperor Charles V stayed at the hotel in the 16th century. Each of the guest rooms is furnished in its own personal style. All rooms include a TV and a private bathroom. Saalfeld is ideally situated for exploring many of the scenic parts of Thuringia. A number of parking spaces are available in the hotel car park.

“Nice hotel near center”

This is a very nice hotel on the central square in this small nice town. The room and bathroom was very nice, I wish we could have stayed longer. Large and comfortable bed.

“When I come back this is where I am going to stay.”
Breakfast was amazing! I forgot my hygiene kit there and they held on to it for me. The staff knew what i was looking for after i came back after I checked out.

“Sleeping in Saalfeld.”
Beautiful old building with a perfect mix of modern comforts and old architecture. Friendly staff that are always happy to help. Breakfast had local produce that was delicious! If you get the chance to visit the restaurant Die Güldene Ganz downstairs do, the food is incredible and an expirience for your taste buds!
