Our stay at this beautiful guesthouse was wonderful. The place is magical—it has a true *Anne of Green Gables* atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable, while still retaining their historical character. Our hostess was wonderful; she organized excursions for us to sites associated with Anne and Lucy Maud Montgomery. The breakfasts were fresh and prepared to order. PEI is a delightful place.

“WOW !!”
Meeting other travellers at the large breakfast table was wonderful. The breakfasts were extremely good and healthy. Andrea and her mother, Judy, are about as friendly and helpful as is possible. Andrea has an unbelievably humourous side to her !! Room #7, in the MacDonald House, is impeccable and luxurious...It is also so quiet that you can hear a pin drop!! We highly recommend this charming Victorian accomodation !!

Our host Andrea was so accommodating to all of our needs. She made a good breakfast for us each day. The atmosphere was so casual, relaxed and welcoming. The Rustico area is beautiful, full of history and charm. The walk nearby to see the osprey nest was a highlight.

“Pretty historical Inn with great breakfast.”
It's a very pretty place with an eclectic mix of antiques. Nice views, and the old church across the street was interesting to browse. The breakfast choices were appreciated - but no PEI potato home fries! I liked the larger family-style breakfast tables and outdoor spaces to meet other travellers. We were not in the main building, which was no problem. Lots of windows in the large room (#5) with blackout curtains, lots of seating, and a dining room table. Played a game of chess in the common area, and discovered a small work-out room on our last morning.

I always looked forward to the breakfast in the morning. Lots of choice. Served just as I liked it. Andrea and Judy were great hosts. Felt like we were family rather than guests. Judy is a walking encyclopedia of the Islander. And Andrea has a great sense of humour.

Breakfast was excellent and so were our hosts. Judy was a delight and she knew so much history of the island. Andrea was lovely and gave us a very warm welcome. Public rooms were full of antiques and nicely decorated but the art on the walls was absolutely captivating!

“Family atmosphere and style in welcoming Barachois Inn and Breakfast with pictureque surroundings”
Judy and Andrea and Trish are wonderful ladies. They all treat you there like part of their family. Each morning Andrea would preparing our fresh and delicious breakfasts and have a little chit chat with us. The room we had was on the 3rd floor #4 and it was in Victorian style of PEI. It was actually two rooms - one with larger bed and the other room with a single and a cozy sofa to watch TV. Great view from the small under the attic windows. AC available in the room. If anyone travels with kids they also had Netflix option. Inn was located in the north of the PEI, town of Rustico - very close to Anne of Green Gables as well as many other interesting spots you'll be sure to visit. We are definitely coming back there in the future and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you MacDonald family for welcoming my wife and I in your beautiful home.

“A warm, welcoming, beautiful place from which to explore the island.”
The food and the atmosphere at breakfast was excellent. You got to meet the other guests and hear about their experience of the island. It was the perfect base from which to explore PEI. Judy had wonderful suggestions. Everything we wanted to see was a reasonable driving distance from the inn. Our room was spacious, private and very quiet.
