Location by the lake and privacy

“A perfect, peaceful getaway with a cozy, well-equipped home and beautiful views”

It was a lovely, cozy stay. The property was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The view from the window was wonderful, and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Wow! Onni Village is a little paradise in the middle of a stunning area of Finland. The accommodation is of a very high standard (better even than in the photos), and each lodge (there are 7 on the site) have huge floor to ceiling windows that down the side facing lake Saimaa. The place was spotless and so well equipped, with great touches like a sauna, free fire wood, life jackets, free use of a rowing boat and a great children's playground with trampoline and zipwire. The host was really excellent and nothing was too much trouble. You can also hire motors for the boat, paddleboards and skis. There are bikes free to use (although only a couple of small helmets) on site and once back on the proper road (Onni Village is 3.8Km down a good forest track) you can travel easily for miles. The nearest shop is in Utula (15 mins drive) and is small, but very well stocked. Huuhanranta beach is stunning and an easy cycle away (the beach is sand and the water is very shallow, so is very safe for children). Don't be put off by the distance from Helsinki. It is a VERY easy 4 hour drive along very quiet motorways and other roads from Helsinki airport and once there, you can relax and enjoy the beauty of this unspoilt area.

Wonderful place, comfortable and clean. The cottage has everything you need and some extras are available for rent for an additional price. Views to the lake and forest are just fantastic. We had a great time there.

The internet is to slow, and we noticed that in sauna there's a annoying/hissing sound and we should inform this but thanks to the cleaners who informed us, but this is only a minor one. Overall totally we really like the place:, we will definitely to come back with longer days)

Beautiful nature location, rural and remote. Peaceful and quiet. Good kids space with trampoline etc. Good facilities, we had everything we needed for 2 weeks. Sauna, swimming, walks, trips to nearby islands on a boat. Overall we loved it and would stay again, it was a really quality time with no phone, just books and nature and time to think

This is a fabulous place. The cottagen is perfectly equipped with everything needed for a long stay. Perfectly clean, full of sun, with a great view to the lake. Very helpful and responsive staff. A lot of wild berries, mushrooms, white fish in the water directly from the cottege's pier. And quiet...

“Great Holiday in Finland”

It is great place for relaxing, enjoying nature and getting away from busy lifestyle. We have enjoyed the greatest views at the lake and nature. The lake water was cold, however, amazingly clean and refreshing once swimming. Around the house, you could enjoy mushroom or blueberry piking in desirable volumes. We have also utilized the sauna and grilling facility. Just great relaxing atmosphere.
