Overview
Situated on the outskirts of Rundu, Tambuti lodge offers accommodation overlooking the Cubango River. The lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and secure on-site parking. Each room at Tambuti is air-conditioned and fitted with ceiling fans, a safe and a desk. They each have a flat-creen TV with satelite channels and the beds are draped with mosquito nets. The spacious en suite bathrooms have a bath and a shower. Specialising in tradtional African cuisine, the small on-site restaurant at Tambuti prepares meals using locally-sourced ingredients. The lodge can arrange sunset cruises in the Kavango floodplain at a surcharge, as well as self-drive tours to the nearby Living Museum of Mbunza. Kayaks are also available for self-exploring the floodplain. A laundry service is available with prior arrangement.

We enjoyed the fact that their menu was focused on local cuisine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere was a relaxing start to our holiday.

I don't understand some negative reviews for this lodge. We had a wonderful stay ! The girls who run this lodge are extremely helpful and friendly. Food was delicious... The rooms are big, the bathroom huge. Beds were very comfy! Better than standard!! They have a wonderful garden with a lot of different plants and trees. Not to forget the breakfast : abundant with things we haven't eaten anywhere else. This accommodation deserves a solid 10!! We stayed 2 nights, and after a week a 3th night. We were happy to be back and they were also clearly enthusiastic about seeing us again...

“Good stop-over place”
In general really good, traveler is left to own devices re luggage. Staff very friendly. Location is good as a 1-night stop-over. Beds very comfortable. Tea & coffee making faciliteis and fridge were a God sent.

“Perfect place to stay en route to Caprivi”
I stayed there twice. On my first visit I had room #1 - AMAZING .... very spacious with a comfy day-bed, a kettle (God sent) and a fridge. The huge claw-footed bath-tub is nice to look at, alas not very practical when ther eis a shortage of water. The shower is ok. The meals offered are a bit limited. The staff are amazing and it's easy to walk up to town. The pool is cute and offers the anticipated cool-off.

Nice located lodge at the banks the kavango river lodge with view to Angola, in additional the staffs were so friendly , especially Salome januarie.guarded parking area , safety is their concern .
