“Great hotel next to the river”

Great location. We had a room at the front with a balcony and enjoyed watching the traffic on the river. It got the sun in the afternoon so lovely to sit out with a book. The room was a decent size and we appreciated having a coffee machine. All the staff were very friendly.

Right on the Rhein, great location, rooms lovely and staff great. We’ve stayed a few times and I always get a buzz on arrival. The outside terrace is overlooking the Rhein, Assmanshausen is on the railway line to Frankfurt, also chairlift to the top with a short walk towards Rudesheim. A truly wonderful location.

“Exceptional and looking forward to staying there next year”

We had a beautiful room with a lovely balcony and Rhine view. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was plentiful and appetizing. The staff were very hospitable and welcoming.

8 or 9 stays at Rheinhotel Lamm and as ever the stay was excellent. Hotel itself is clean and well organised, breakfast excellent and the location perfect for us.

Very nice breakfast. Brilliant walk in shower and comfy beds. Note the hotel's restaurant is closed on Tuesdays so it's only a skeleton staff on duty. Very good dinner up the street and over the rail line - at Berg's. It traditional food and they are vineyard owners - very good pinot noir from Rheingau.

Great location, fabulous balcony room with view of Rhein. Very comfortable room, good bathroom with walk-in shower. Great breakfast and dinner. Parking free around the hotel. Friendly staff and helpful owner.

“Rhein River delight”

The hotel is located a short distance from Rudesheim am Main. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated in decor however the beds were very comfortable. As it was extremely hot during our stay, and the room was NOT airconditioned, we were offered a second fan for our room. Thankfully during the night we opened the windows and were able to cool the room down further. Bathroom was very good - the shower was amazing. The hotel has a lift. There are a number of eating options out side of the hotel within easy walking distance.

“Lovely area”

The hotel is in a lovely location, right next to the River Rhine and in a lovely village. The room we stayed in was large, with two windows - one to the river and one facing down the village. The bed was very comfortable, although the pillows less so. The bathroom was large and well equipped. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the one meal we enjoyed there was well cooked and served, although the menu was a set one with little choice. Car parking is available, but it's restricted in numbers and where I parked my car was a bit tight to get in and out.

The room was excellent with a fantastic view. I would recommend upgrading to a room with a balcony. The food was really good and tasty but on the down side a little limited for vegetarians.

“Nice hotel on a great location with one terribly rude waiter”

This is a nice family hotel on a great location. The spacious, comfortable room had a beautiful view of the Rhine river. The manager (owner) and staff (one exception) were very friendly and welcoming. We decided to have lunch and dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent. Our stay would have been great if we were served by another waiter at dinner, which is why the hotel still receives a positive review. The negative experience about this waiter still needs to be told in order to warn future customers however, so that's why I wrote down our experiences with this waiter in detail. It didn't fit in the 'negatives' textbox, which it why the story starts here. **Rude waiter** To be frank, our dinner at the restaurant of this hotel mostly ruined our stay here. The food was excellent but the waiter who served us was impolite, impatient and simply rude in the end over a simple misunderstanding. When we asked for the check, we asked in (limited) German (we're not native German speakers, but we like to make an effort to speak the language of the countries we visit) if we could put the bill on our room number, which is what we successfully did for lunch with another waiter. He wouldn't accept this (for a vague reason) however and said paying 'in bar' would be best, which we misunderstood for paying per card.

Traditional hotel with a good room, and great river view. 'Exciting' balcony (not for those with fear of heights). Very good beds. Great location - a lot quieter than Rudesheim but availability to the boats and cable car.

The room had a most beautiful view of the Rhine. Spacious, comfortable room. Good food. Fantastic location for cycling. The hotel has a bicycle storage room where electric bicycles can be charged.
