Cute town. Accommodating and friendly host makes you feel at home. Unique 60s style vibe accommodation. Dorelan beds a plus. Clean room and also very spacious. Free parking in courtyard on request was appreciated. Thank you and see again you next time!

“Un gioiellino al cuore dell’Emilia Romagna.”
A most charming host and a delightful studio apartment which could scarcely fail to please. Immensely comfortably appointed with some lovely period pieces of furniture from the 40s and 50s which add much to the character and charm of the accommodation. Could not be better positioned in the epicentre of Rubiera and immediately behind the fabulous Alvaro restaurant of legendary reputation. Indeed, the proprietor of Ermellina is no less than the granddaughter of Alvaro and has many an anecdote to recount of him and his family in their heyday. A jewel of a place to stay.

“More than you can imagine”
It was not only the hotel it was the whole experience, it was all perfect starting from the service, through the comfort, design, even the smell! :) You can see the passion and heart put in this place. I strongly recommend!

It should be 5 star hotel. Place is fantastically done up and have luxury feel through out the full experience. I don’t normally leave feedback but this place is really something special. Its cliche but also very true that Ermellina (and Francesca and her family) are home away from home. Ermellina is an amazing hotel, with very spacious comfortable room and amazing hosts (the best part) that can help you navigate through Modena region. Definitely one of my best stays in Italy, strongly recommend it and I will definitely be back!
