I really liked the resort grounds – everything was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully organized. The lawns were neatly trimmed, the sunbeds were arranged perfectly, and the whole property looked very tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Dejan from Sport Team and to Anita from restaurant. You are so kind and professional :) It was also very convenient to have a shop, restaurants, and everything else on-site. The food was delicious, and the Thai massage was excellent.

We had an issue with the bathroom drain getting clogged up and flooding - this was something that the hotel staff was aware of but they still gave us the apartment as an "upgrade". They tried fixing it multiple times during our stay, but in vain. They also offered us to switch to another apartment but we trusted them when they said that the issue was fixed - also because we were busy with a festival and barely had time in between for repacking. The hot water was also very limited for an apartment for 4. The cleaning staff only switched towels - we had to ask for everything ourselves, including toilet paper, kitchen cleaning equipment, etc. There were much better options in the city center (also way cheaper) but we chose to stay here because we were attending a festival at the same venue. Eventually the hotel staff did provide some compensation for our suffering but I would never stay here again.

“Renovate a bungalow”

We booked a bungalow for four people almost a year in advance. We love Rovinj – the sea, the beaches, and especially the possibility to hide under the trees from the sun. But unfortunately, the conditions of the bungalow we stayed in at Villas Rubin were the worst we’ve ever experienced during our travels, especially considering the not-so-cheap price. The bathroom was shocking – the old plastic shower curtain (something I last saw back in 2012) was too short, so the water constantly spilled onto the floor, which stayed wet all the time. The tiles were cracked, the fan in the bathroom was barely attached to the wall, and there was a constant unpleasant sewage smell after showering or flushing the toilet. In the kitchen, things were even worse. We saw cockroaches crawling around, and I honestly feared they might end up in our luggage. The countertop was full of stains that could not be cleaned, the stove was very old, and the utensils were so unpleasant to touch that we avoided cooking altogether. The whole bungalow was in poor condition: walls with cracks, missing hooks, and in general it was clear that it needs urgent renovation. To be fair – the outside facilities are maintained much better: the garden is beautiful, the beach is cleaned, sunbeds are wiped down, the staff is friendly, the pool water is clean, and the food at the pool restaurant was delicious. However, the state of the bungalow completely ruined our holiday. After the beach, we simply did not want to go back inside.

The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very nice and clean. The food was delicious and varied every day. Also the evenings with kids club and live music were perfect. Pool and sea entry were great.

Location is beautiful, grounds well kept, nice sea view bungalow and lots to do for kids. In general the exterior is very pretty. Comfy beds.

It is a beautiful resort with plenty to enjoy for everyone. Food, drinks, water sports, snorkeling etc. Especially the entertainment areas (restaurants, cafes, swimming pool, sports facilities etc.) are well maintained and cleaned daily. The staff is friendly and hard-working. I personally felt that it was very good value for money.

very nice and big complex . stayed for 1 night only came around 8pm and needed to check out at 10 am , so couldn't try pool area . lunch and breakfast was nice , lots to choose from. program for all day in the pool , bar , kids club , live music in the evening

“Hotel with no relation to cleanliness”

When we arrived, we thought we would just turn back home. I couldn't imagine staying there for 10 days. The photos don't reflect reality at all. The rooms are old, neglected, but what's worst is that they are dirty. Our doors didn't work to close them, they had to be locked. We regularly had poop on the balcony every morning - probably from mice. No comfort in the room - rooms were too noisy, you heard everthing from neighboors, talking, flushing toilet (also using toilet), taking shower - it was pretty much living with neighboors. What I appreciate is that the hotel moved us to a studio, where it looked much better, a larger room, a terrace, amenities. Unfortunately, cleanliness in general is not the hotel's strong point. From dirt, to stains from killed animals on the wall. The stay was also made unpleasant by the stench from the drain. Another very unpleasant point was dinner - waiting in line for 15 minutes on average every day (we went more for the children to catch the evening animation program) - but what was extremely frustrating was that the system allowed the impudence of people to overtake each other. So you wait patiently in line and watch as other impudence people cram in front of you and wait even longer. They especially overtake children who could not defend themselves. Sad. I recommend the hotel to solve this by blocking - limiting the line or creating 2 lines with the same served food, the waiting times would be reduced and people might not have such a need to overtake each other. As for the environment, it is really very nice, although if you came because of the sea, I wish you strong nerves, the beaches are full of large stones, not suitable for children and less able seniors. What was definitely great is the animation program, the pool and the slides.
