“A really cute studio in a great location”

Great value little apartment on the edge of the old town of Rovinj. It's on the 3rd floor with no lift so you need to be relatively fit (especially when you arrive with suitcases!) but via some well lit stairs and the elevated position means you're away from street noise, so we had no issues with staying in such a central location from that side of things. The apartment is small but perfectly formed - Daniela the owner has decorated it beautifully and added so many thoughtful touches and there's a surprising amount of storage space and shelving. The full size fridge is very useful for drinks and snacks, as is the sink and crockery and cutlery provided plus table, so you can make a cold breakfast or lunch in the room if you wish. There's a Mlinar Bakery just a few doors away which does lovely pastries which we popped out to r each morning to buy breakfast! There's also a small supermarket a few minutes walk away. There are so many nice restaurants along the harbour front and in the old town to choose from for dinner, plus some beautiful romantic waterside bars with seating on the rocks (check out Mediterraneo bar and Valentino Cocktail and Champagne Bar!). Daniela lives in the next door apartment, so is up to date with local events, and messaged us a few times with useful tips on places to go, eg when there was due to be live music in the old town. We had a rental car and Daniela provided details of the closest car park for our arrival to minimise walking distance with luggage (chargeable by the hour) and then details of a more distant free car park 15mins walk away to leave the car during our stay. We also used the chargeable car park when collecting our luggage on departure - which turned out to be free if you were in and out within 30 mins (my husband retrieved the car and I waited by the car park with the luggage).

The apartment was perfect location right by the harbour, but very quiet with no noise from the street. It was decorated beautiful and plenty of space. Daniela was a great host, so welcoming and friendly. She gave us some very useful maps and great recommendations of what to do and restaurants to try. We would definitely stay at this apartment again!
