Overview
This historic hotel on Rothenburg’s market square offers individually designed, non-smoking rooms and paid private parking. All Medieval sights are within a 10-minute walk. The Hotel-Gasthof Goldener Greifen is 640 years old. All rooms include a private bathroom, and most have a TV. Continental breakfast is provided at the Goldener Greifen every day. Traditional Franconian food is served in the hotel’s historic Topplerstube restaurant. The Goldener Greifen has free storage facilities for bicycles and motorbikes. There are many hiking and cycling trails in the surroundings of Rothenburg.

“Rothenburg Delight”
Firstly……the hotel restaurant in the evening is simply exceptional…….delicious and the waiting staff just brilliant……ever so friendly. Secondly the breakfast…….ooh la la………try it and you’ll know what I mean……..stunning! Our room was a modern addition to an old building…….nicely designed and very comfortable. The car parking to the rear was a bonus. Great stay!

“Comfortable, authentic lovely hotel with incredible staff.”
Breakfast was made to order. Very tasty. Lots of cold cuts, breads, spreads brought to the table as well. Yoghurts and fruits available too. Choice of hot drinks and juices. Dinner in hotel restaurant was delicious. Waiter serving was very attentive and personable. Check in staff member was very helpful. Location of the hotel was wonderful - just few steps away from main square. Parking on site was much appreciated. History of hotel back to 1406 very intrresting.

The staff were very friendly and helped us get a rental car. Breakfast was good with a good selection of items. Location is a 10 - right near the Marktplatz!
