Overview
Set in a 12th-Century building, this hotel offers spa facilities and elegant rooms overlooking gardens and the beautiful Tauber Valley. It stands on the edge of Rothenburg’s Medieval town centre. All of the spacious rooms at the 3-star-superior Burghotel have a seating area, minibar and cable TV. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and is located nearby. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel. A rich breakfast buffet is provided each morning in the breakfast room. It offers views of the valley. Guests are invited to dine at the hotel's restaurant which includes a rose garden and terrace, across the way. The modern spa area includes a sauna, spa showers and a relaxation area, all available for guests to use for an extra charge. Private 2-hour spa sessions can also be booked. An archway leads from the Burghotel into the old Dominican monastery's gardens. Guests are welcome to relax here.

“Beautiful old school hotel”
Hotel is located inside the walled part of the city and may actually be part of the wall. It is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. The only reason I did not give it a higher rating is that the shower is quite slippery and the parking is expensive and actually the size of the parking stall is related to how expensive your room is. So if your book a small room you get a small parking stall. Staff are very friendly and speak some English.

“The best hotel in Rothenburg”
Fabulous family run hotel with Otto the owner's father on duty in Reception keeping a watchful eye on things, but happy to converse in English and share delightful conversation on any subject and with useful suggestions to maximise your time in Rothenburg. Other staff are friendly and helpful making one feel part of the Burg Hotel family immediately. The views from the breakfast room and valley view bedrooms are fantastic. Private parking is useful at Eur15 per night.

“Amazing location and lovely hotel”
The location was amazing! The breakfast as well and the view from the terrace terrific! The staff, especially Otto, were so sweet and kind! The room furniture was rather traditional and old, but it fit the vibe of the old town etc so it was great. Would highly recommend this place and we will certainly come back! :)

“Elegant accommodation with old world charm in an excellent location.”
An historic building well located close to Castle Gardens and allowing us to explore all other parts of Rothenburg by foot, and to take longer walks in Tauber Valley. We enjoyed a large, comfortable and well furnished room with fine views. The manager and staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast very ggod.

Otto was the perfect host and gentleman. He took time to explain the history of the ‘little castle’ to us and show us around. We enjoyed a sunny afternoon and beautiful sunset from our balcony which had a stunning view over trees and fields.

“Family owned boutique hotel”
Family owned boutique hotel in the old town of Rothenburg. The service by the owner Otto is legendary and very accommodating. The house is packed with history similar to the whole town. The hotel has onsite parking, however it can be a bit tricky to find the location as google maps and waze struggle to pinpoint the exact location of the hotel. If you are arriving late, make sure to call ahead as the reception closes at 10pm.

A GOOD HOTEL TO STAY! Mr. Otto is 87 years old, but he dresses up nicely and speaks quite good English, very impressive! I strongly recommend to stay their hotel if you go there!
