I have stayed in Rothenberg before and this property was literally just outside the city wall by 100m. It was good to get away from the tourists and the noise. I preferred this location and parking is available on site or directly across the road. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Check in is easy if you read your messages as you will need the code number to get the key. It was a great place to stay. The restaurant was very good for both food and drinks.

We had two rooms and they were both lovely, comfortable, and nice and quiet. It was a seamless check-in using a key locked box system for both key collection and return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return to this hotel. It’s also in a great spot between the town and the train station with plenty of parking out the back. There is no on-site reception as the restaurant and hotel are not owned or managed by the same people.  The restaurant downstairs is a real gem and a must visit. The staff are so lovely and we went at Christmas and it was so beautifully decorated. There is a communal high table in the middle if you wish to interact with fellow guests which we sat at and we had a fabulous night. The chef has been named as one of the top 40 chefs under the age of 30 in Germany and the maitre-D and Sommelier is French. They both own the restaurant and it is obvious how much passion they have for the food and the enjoyment of their patrons.

The restaurant was excellent and the staff there very helpful! Location was pretty good (half way between train station and the old town area.

Good location. There is a parking back to hotel but restaurant people asked us not to park there.

Great location. close to both the train station and the old town. Lidl supermarket close by. Enjoyed eating at the restaurant down stairs. Good food!

The location was good. They offered to keep the luggage after check out in the morning.

Semi timber room, feel magical Spacious Enough Towels and the basic toiletries The light button near the bed could turn of the room main light! It was sweet to put a Haribo on the pillows! ;) So convenient to do check-in and check-out contactless without obligation of any reception desk! Great location to the city center, train station and grocery shopping stores.

Great communication and staff went the extra mile to allow us to check in early. Location was great and easy to get to from the train station yet still close enough to inside the walls to allow breaks during sightseeing. The instruction to get the key was clear and the room was clean and as per the photos. The shower had good water pressure.

“Old hotel in Rothenburg”

Location was good, close to the old town and very quiet. It's a very old hotel with basic facilities. Self check-in was easy.

Very close to both the station and the historic centre. A great location. Comfortable, single room with all the facilities I needed.

When we arrived one of our rooms was not clean and prepared. We attempted to contact staff. Very difficult. Although we arrived at 2pm our room was not cleaned and prepared until the evening. There was also a young man on a bicycle who arrived having booked his room who did not have a key code to get in. It was very difficult for him. This hotel is ok but it is poor that there are no staff on site and makes things difficult for people arriving.
