“Pine forests and pool”
Sunset House is set in a beautifully maintained garden with a very decent pool. There are lots of garden seating and relatively private relaxing areas in the grounds as well as shade giving trees.. There are several apartments available and ours was fully equipped with a good kitchen and even included little gifts, such as local wine and snacks. It is surrounded by pine forests and there is a gorgeous hotel and restaurant a short walk away. There is also a filling station coffee shop 5 minutes walk across the road bridge open until 3pm. It's ideal with a car as the walk to the seaside town Castiglioncello is 40 minutes down hill and 50 uphill. There is a main road nearby which is periodically noisy from certain aspects of the house but the doors and windows are soundproof plus the AC was efficient so that was minor. Our host Marian was super attentive to any needs and the apartment was spotlessly clean.
