“unprofessional service and fake reviews”
If you want to ruin your vacation, book a room at this hotel. This is the first time we've encountered such a terrible situation. They started renovations or preparations for an event right above our room during the night. We heard loud noises that kept us awake. We called reception around midnight and asked them to keep the noise down because we couldn't sleep. They told us they couldn't help; the most they could do was give us a different room. In other words, they asked us to move to another room in the middle of the night. I talked to them until 1:00 AM... This is the first time I've encountered such impudence from a hotel. We didn't sleep for half the night, and then we moved to another hotel. We weren't warned in advance about the noisy work at night; we would have moved... They simply told us they needed to carry out the noisy work, and no one at the hotel cared that it was night and we couldn't sleep. I contacted Booking.com, they wrote to them, but even after that, no one stopped the noisy work at night...

“Exceptional 5* Stay”
I just returned from an amazing 4-night stay with my daughter. We were attending to watch the Monte Carlo Masters at the Monaco Country Club (which is located directly beneath this stunning property), and it was our first time staying at the Maybourne Riviera - I hope it will not be our last. The Maybourne has everything you need for a perfect 5* break. From the complimentary chauffeur service meeting us at Nice Airport, the incredibly professional but friendly staff - everyone from the general managers to the room service team- made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and remembered our names, the free shuttle sprinter service to and from Monaco, the beautiful spa and gym facilities (working out at 7 am with a sea view really was something special), the little touches, such as the housekeeping team leaving us bookmarks for our reading books and wire tidies for our charges - the staff really do all they can to make your stay as effortless and comfortable as possible. One night I came back from a day at the tennis and realised the dye from my denim top had rubbed off onto my white jeans. I made a quick call to housekeeping, and someone came to collect my jeans for laundering within 5 mins, they were returned spotless the next day. We used the spa twice, both times we had the whole area - sauna, steam room, cold plunge and the most peaceful relaxation room and balcony (which overlooks the pool), which was great. We also had an afternoon by the pool, stunning views and the pool is perfectly heated. It's good to know the loungers are only for hotel guests - I did worry about availability, especially later in the season when it gets hotter, so this won't be a problem. Breakfast is included in your stay, and you have a wealth of options. Our preference was to have breakfast on our terrace - both mornings were exceptional and a perfect start to the day.
