Overview
Only a 5-minute drive from Ascona, the La Rocca hotel in Porto Ronco enjoys a quiet, elevated location, 3 minutes' walk from Lago Maggiore. It offers free WiFi. All guest rooms in the La Rocca hotel have a balcony or a terrace and - thanks to the hillside location - offer superb lake views. Most rooms feature air-conditioning. Movies can be streamed on the smart TV of every room, and guests are welcome to use the hotel's computer corner. Typical Ticino dishes and international cuisine are served on the covered terrace or in the restaurant. The hotel bar offers aromatic coffee and selected drinks. Half board includes the dish of the day for dinner. If you booked half board you can also opt for dining à la carte and will get the half board price refunded. The hotel has its own private beach in Porto Ronco, which is only an 8-minute walk away from the hotel. Locarno, Ascona, Brissago including the islands, Gambarogno and Italy can also be reached by boat from Porto Ronco.

“Beautiful location overlooking the lake”
The views from the hotel are wonderful and the location is excellent, the small gardens and facilities are lovely. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant staff lovely.

Great location with spectacular lake views and good parking facilities. Very convenient for Locarno and Ascona. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel facilities excellent. Bedroom very comfortable and spotless and quiet, with a wonderful lake view from the balcony. Fabulous breakfast with a wide array of homemade and local produce, enjoyed in the covered terrace restaurant. Very high quality à la carte dining in the evening. All in all a very memorable experience - we‘ll be back again soon hopefully!

“You should visit”
Just perfect. Nice view, clean room and bathroom, well decorated garden and terrace. Breakfast we had with a wonderful lake view was also very nice. Really enjoyed our stay even though it was very short.

The stuffy were very helpful and we got an updated room, which had an amazing view. Also the hotel located in a calm area so you could relax. For the parking, I would recommend to reserve a parking if you go by a car.
