Vecchia Roma Resort is located in a beautiful and quiet residential area next to Circo Massimo. The metro and tram stops are very close. Within a walking distance are many attractions like Colosseo, Foro Romano and Terme di Caracalla. Testaccio and Trastevere nearby have lots of places to eat and drink. Marco and Luca are exceptional hosts and made me feel welcomed. It was like visiting friends. I enjoyed conversations in the morning. Marco makes the most delicious breakfast! He also provided me with lots of useful information and recommendations. Grazie Mille!

Good hotel near the ancient ruins and good food restaurants. Room is small and clean. Room has Tea making facilities with a kettle inside the room. The owner and his family are friendly and helpful. The area is secure and you can walk out side even in midnight without any problems.

Everything was fine. It is in a quiet, peaceful location, yet close to the center. Metro, bus nearby. The accommodation is very clean, tidy. And Marco was very nice and attentive.

I liked everything about this property. The location was great, I found it walkable to all the main sites and if you didn't want to walk it was also close to the Circo Maximo Metro station. The metro is really easy to use, especially with Tap and Go available. I found it really quiet, which was unexpected considering the central location. Breakfast was great, and Marco would check with me every day if I wanted to change my preferences for the next day. Both Marco and his son also offered both site-seeing and restaurant recommendations every day, depending on my plans. Laundry services were also available which was both affordable and quick, returned within the day. In a lovely and unexpected surprise, I celebrated my birthday during my stay and was given a sweet treat complete with candle to acknowledge the day. If I ever find myself in Rome again I wouldn't hesitate to return.

What a wonderful introduction to Italy and Rome! We stepped out of the train station and a brief walk to the complex for our 3 night stay. The welcome by Luca was warm and we felt instantly comfortable in our spacious room. A small lift is available if needed to get to the first floor, but navigating the short flight of stairs was easy enough too. A kettle was provided for tea/coffee, as well as the delicious and freshly prepared breakfast made by Marco each morning. Having the opportunity to try authentic Italian prepared options- which changed each morning- yum. We were accommodated with our dietary requirements and if required had the (extra $) option for a packed lunch (maybe next stay 😉). The rooms were made up and restocked with new supplies (tea/coffee etc), each day, a pleasant surprise. Marco was happy to chat as we ate, my husband loved chatting about Totti! I loved listening to the details about life in Rome/Italy. When we arrived Luca happily provided us with lunch/dinner restaurant options within walking distance near by and away from the hustle and bustle of super tourist swamped areas. Walking into Rome was easy and a longer walk to Vatican is doable if you’re up for it. Otherwise, the Circo Massimo station is a 2 minute walk. Highly recommend staying here for a cosy and comfortable stay in Rome. 10/10

Marco was an excellent host, from welcome to farewell. He was always ready with a good local recommendation, flexible, and willing to assist. The apartment is a short walk from the Metro and bus stations, and a comfortable walk to the Colosseum. The neighborhood is quiet, with lovely local restaurants and gelaterias. We had a lovely evening making pasta and tiramisu wth Marco in his kitchen.

Really clean, perfect location, great host. Marco was on hand for any advice and gave us great local tips. The breakfast was perfect too - great value and set us up for the day. The place to stay at for a weekend in Rome!
