Overview
Offering views of the Vatican and St. Peter’s Cathedral from its roof terrace, the Grand Hotel is located in Rome’s peaceful Gianicolo quarter. “Perfect stay, beautiful hotel close to centre of town”
We loved this hotel, it felt out of the city yet was literally a few minutes walk to trastavere and some great restaurants nearby. The check in was great and the hotel staff were so friendly and helped ensure we got parking and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay again

The hotel staff at every level are outstanding; nothing is too much trouble. They are consistently attentive, warm and friendly. And of course the pool is fantastic.

“A Wonderful Escape at the Grand Hotel Gianicolo”
Our stay at the Grand Hotel Gianicolo was everything we hoped for and more. The setting is stunning, the building is beautiful, and the welcome we received each time we walked through the door was genuinely heartfelt. We absolutely loved enjoying drinks on the outdoor patio — a gorgeous place to sit back and soak it all in. The restaurant was fantastic as well, with great food and great service. Truly a perfect stay. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

The place was fabulous. If you really want to feel like you are in Italy, then this is the place. Staff were great. Breakfast was great. We walked to Janiculum Hill on day of arrival. Easy walk.

It is Trastevere but u need a car so it wasn't very convenient .maybe if you need the hospital which is close by then the answer is yes.
