The accommodation charged an extremely high fee of more than €120 for a small dog, even though a €100 cleaning fee had already been charged in advance. This in itself would not necessarily be a problem, but the accommodation did not inform us of this extreme amount beforehand. In the listing, it only stated that they “may charge” an extra fee for a dog. Only after the booking and after the accommodation fee had already been paid in advance did the property inform us of the very high amount they intended to charge for the dog. Moreover, this information was communicated in a message written in German, which we did not understand. We complained about this on site. The local receptionist waived half of the fee, which we paid. Despite this, after our departure the accommodation charged our bank card for the remaining amount, even though it had been waived on site. This is completely outrageous and unfair behavior. I travel frequently, but I have never encountered such an attitude before. The whole situation is unacceptable.

The property was new, clean, and conveniently located near the beach. It was also situated between two towns, offering great options for restaurants and shopping.
