“Absolutely Wonderful Stay – Even Better Than Expected!”

We stayed here on the 30th of June as a stopover on our road trip to Lake Garda, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better choice. We picked it based on the beautiful photos and glowing reviews—and it still managed to exceed our expectations. If anything, it’s even better in real life. The house is just lovely—full of charm, tastefully decorated with original features, and so much character. From the moment we booked, Allison and Ian were in touch, checking in about our arrival time and making sure everything was smooth. They’re such genuinely warm and welcoming people—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. When we arrived, we were shown around the house and the stunning, well-kept garden and pool area. There’s even a lovely guest living room where you can relax, which adds to the homely feel. Our room was spotless, cosy, and had gorgeous views of the mountains and church. Every little detail had clearly been thought through with care. Allison even offered to pop a pizza in the oven for us when we mentioned we were tired from the drive and unsure whether to go out again—that kind of thoughtful gesture really stood out. In the end, we did go out to the nearby lake restaurant they recommended, which was great, but the offer meant a lot. And then there was breakfast… Waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread and croissants was just incredible. It was easily the best breakfast of our trip—generous and delicious. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after, and already talking about when we might come back. It’s a truly special place with really special hosts. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had such a great experience during our stay! Allison and Ian were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the cozy bed and the amazing shower – perfect after a long day of hiking/cycling. Breakfast was delicious with local ingredients, perfect to start the day. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Thank you for making our trip so special!

“Nice warm and cosy stay !”

Outside it was cold and rainy, inside we received a warm welcome and could sit by the wood-burning stove to recover. Beautifully renovated classic house, great bed.

We had a lovely stay at La petite chouette. Ian and Allison were so kind and welcoming and kind to us. They took really good care of us during our stay. Great breakfast and we even had a really nice (typical French) diner. Our room had a great bed, nice view on the church and the mountains behind the village and a really new and clean bathroom.

Had a warm welcome and an exquisite stay. Great bed and shower. Room decorated with great care. Responsive in communication. Absolutely recommend this place!
