The accommodation was clean, comfortable and warm (even in a cave in mid-January!). The hosts were charming, friendly and informative. The optional breakfast was delicious. The situation near the Loire river was delightfully French.

“A fabulous cave experience, local wines, and several chateaus in the area”
Loved the whole cave experience - Benoit was a fabulous host offering plenty of information and suggestions on local sights. Breakfast was adequate, bed was super comfy. Bonus was - he offered to do our laundry while we were out for the day, which was so very much appreciated - highly recommend.

We spent eight nights in the chambre troglodytique in april 2025, and had a great time! Benoît and his wife are kind, attentive and welcoming. They provided helpful tips and what to see and do in the area and we felt very at home at their property. As a bonus, there is a friendly little dog roaming around the premises! The room is clean and comfortable, and the setting in a limestone cave is beautiful and typical for the area. Wifi works great and there is a good bathroom and shower. We used this room as a basis to visit Tours, Amboise, Blois, Saumur, Vouvray and the many chateaux in the area. There are supermarkets, multiple good french bakeries, a charcutier and wine cellars nearby. Within minutes you can walk to the banks of the Loire. I would highly recommend to stay here!

“Novel but comfortable accommodation in a very pretty location”
Novel accommodation at the edge of the Loire. The room was very attractive and furnishings suited the environment, the shower was good and the outside terrace was very pleasant. The bed was extremely comfy with good quality bedding. The hosts were very welcoming and were very keen to please, giving us lots of local tips and information to fully make the most of this interesting area. We had a very pleasant stay and, in a daytime temperature of 34 degrees the cave was beautifully refreshing.
