Overview
Just 2 km from the Monte Pratello ski slopes, Hotel Le Ortensie offers a garden with gazebo and free bike hire. It includes a homemade continental breakfast and mountain-style rooms and suites. The breakfast buffet consists of freshly baked cakes, croissants and yoghurt, but also eggs and bacon and zabaione dessert. During winter and in July and August, you can have dinner in the elegant Abruzzo restaurant. Hotel Le Ortensie’s en suite rooms are set on the ground floor. They all have handmade wood furniture and a flat-screen satellite TV. Some include a mountain-view balcony. Suites come with elegant décor and textiles, and are set on the upper floors, reached by a staircase. Set 500 metres from the historic centre of Roccaraso, the property is 6 km from the mediaeval village of Pescocostanzo. Lake Barrea is a 30-minute drive away.

Breakfast and dinner were perfect. Staff on the restaurant was super nice. Very good linen and towels, great shower, nice view. Room was great, but tiny, with few places to store clothes.

The hotel is simply beautiful with hand carved wood and cast iron decorations everywhere. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The service and the food was impeccable

This is a delightful authentic hotel. The staff were charming. The food was exceptional. We had half board which was delicious but the ala cart menu looked amazing too.
