Lovely hotel with friendly host close to Chirripo trailhead. Highly recommendable. They provide breakfast bag to take with you if you start your hike early.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottages are within the most beautiful tropical garden setting and it is very peaceful. The lovely owners never stopped working and were very welcoming. The food was also delicious. We were sad to leave and wished we had spent more time there.

Beautiful house and gardens

The gardens were beautiful, lots of different plants, agoutis running about, ponds and a lookout at the top of the trail. It is a short drive to Talamanca Nature Reserve (where for $10 per person you had a day"s access to their trails), Cloudbridge and hot springs. We loved our "cabin in the jungle" and the owner, Vernon, was terrific and very helpful.

Peaceful place, friendly staff and a beautiful garden Parking is easy and on the property. It’s quite at night to sleep well with windows open.

A good location in Rivas easy to find. Good breakfast and hot water in the shower. The on site trail was nice. Neaby resto Kapi-Kapis is very good

Friendly. Lovely room and garden. Helpful for Cerro Chirripó (pack breakfast for room, taxi to start of trail). Close to offices for registration. I stayed an extra night and paying directly was cheaper.

We had a wonderful stay at Jardines Secretos and especially appreciated the great support of Sofia who helped us to figure out the organization on our last minute booked hike to Chirripó. It was hard to find the right details online but with Sofias help we found the right ticket category on the Sinac website, where to register and pay for the base crestones, what we need to bring and when we should best leave for the hike. Also she advised us to visit CloudBridge which was an excellent place for a hike to acclimatize and very beautiful place. We also got some recommendations for coffee farms to visit. Generally the whole family was very welcoming and friendly. We also loved that our room had its own terrace with a hammock and some facilities to prepare coffee and tea in the morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends!

“Secret gardens - nice and secret place!”

very beautiful place with perfect garden. Breakfast was delicious, also very tasteful dinner. Friends had a house directly within the rain forest only surrounded by nature. I recommend the guided tour to CloudBridge, Andrey our guide was a passionated person who guided us through the nature and to various falls.

Spacious and in a lovely garden setting

The garden is breathtakingly beautiful, and the whole design of the accommodation is dreamlike. The room also included a small veranda with hammock and other amenities. Although the staff only communicate in Spanish, we easily managed everything, even the laundry, with the help of a translation program. Breakfast was delicious and hummingbirds fluttered in the greenery next to our table. Incredible experience!!! We loved it there so much that we were longing to go back when we checked out, so we went back to the restaurant of the lodge to eat when we went hiking that day. Unforgettable accommodation, I highly recommend it to everyone.
